Save the date!

2012 Stoney Point cleanup day on October 20th 8:00am-12:00pm

They ask for an RSVP to : jlim@rei.com just so they have an idea how may goodies to bring to give out. If you are gun-shy about "registration"... just show up. They certainly won't stop you from volunteering.

Be there or be square.

The first place I posted this was the Stony Point thread. If you guys actually bothered to read your own thread rather than just posting random boring-ass updates, you might have seen it. I figured no one gave a sh#t since there wasn't a single comment so I started a separate thread where people might actually see the flyer..

Apparently I'm blind. I posted one before your post, & responded to a post two after yours.

If you read the thread you would know that we are responding to each other, which means we are reading most of what is posted.

Most of us that boulder at Stoney pick trash up every time we are there. The place is the cleanest I've seen it in 30 years.

I think I've seen you there about four times in that period.

Cleanup projects often need to be visible, and have a separate thread. Climbers aren't the only people who read these things.

Well, I'm really not trying to turn this into a pissing match. You accused me of not posting it in the S.P. thread when in fact.. I did and it got ignored. So I got a bit annoyed. Shoot me.

*(extends olive branch)*

It's volunteer work. You can do it on your own time or come to the REI event. Makes no difference to me. Yes, the place looks better than it used to but it still needs help and it's more trash than a few trad-daddies can handle on their weekday afternoons so I hope some extra folks will come.

PS: Not that I should really have to defend myself but.. I'm at Stoney all the time. Just because I avoid that Tues/Thurs scene like the plague doesn't mean I'm never there. Quieter days. Quieter times. Quieter spirit in my book.

I am not into the whole "trying to prove myself" thing either.

Rifle dropped - Olive branch gladly excepted.

You are doing a good thing.

I just wanted it sprayed everywhere, & apparently was to blind to see what was right in front of me. If this has helped get it bumped & anyone else has see this because I made a fool of myself good. If not well I'm good at making a fool of myself so I'll kept moving forward & doing what I do best.
I do bark, but I don't bite.
Peace to you and yours. Climb on.

Last year I did the chicken-pick thing and spend 3 hours cleaning ALL the little tiny bits of broken glass in the Mommy's Boys area. Also Sculptor's Crack area.

If you have the patience do this some where, please do it. The mobs of Boy Scouts will get all the big stuff.

Sorry to say I will miss this year's event.

Bump for big event!!!!

Come out and try and find more trash.

It is getting scarse .... a real good thing.

But look around, more to find.

I dragged this out from the top of Motzarts last year. It was pretty fun to trundle it down.
