This Week's Theme - Open Theme

The Ride Guide
To have fun and to be nice to everyone...
To ring thy bell, To wish everyone well...
To sing, to dance, to make merry,
To not bring more than I can carry...
To leave no trace, to Cruise and not to race...
To ride in control and not be a troll...
To stay to the right and to ride with a light...

And of course to say... "Have a Happy Thursday!"

The weather is looking increasingly worse. Bring a rain jacket. Come anyway. If it's too bad, we will get Nature to peddle his sushi to the house for a Tantra Sushi Fest! :)

Well I'm happy with what I've put together but it needs more work.

The cruise last night was a train wreck. pieces and parts started falling off. I got held up and lost the cruisers. But I can fix it. It was a great beta run.

The kicker was right before the first explosion the conversation went like this.

"Hi, I'm Summer"
"Hi Summer, I'm Nature"
"oh... nice... hi nature"

and then the trailer fell apart.

D'oh!

And after I got home I figured out my back tire wasn't on right. It was a little skewed to one side because of the trailer hitch. Friction from the brake all night long. Made for a better workout I suppose....

locker... plan on riding with me next week?

I wish you had been there. you would have cracked the f*#k up at the self destruction.

and you could have stayed with me and we could have sent BN ahead to stay with the group and let us know where they ended up.

Dammit Jim!

Edit: And I'm going to buy some PVC glue and some bigass f'ing bolts!

I don't blame you for bailing (this time ;-)

so to add to my train wreck story... as I was riding back home down broadway I was on the sidewalk and my trailer clipped a tree and tipped the whole thing over. serious carnage. Though I've done inventory and I seem to have everything I left with minus some sushi.

yes to next week!

It was the biggest loser of a cruiser night ever! We waited and waited and I finally went home. The cruiser crowd was tiny (about 15). Is it the end of Boulder cruising? Hope not. Hopefully it gets better.

Sorry about the trailer Nature. She shall rise again!

crimpie - I bet it was the weather and that they are trying to ditch the drunk college kids.

I imagine that is the case. This is about the time they "shut it down" each year to lose the hooligans. Still, it was disappointing. We'll try again. :)

I heard it was quite the explosive trailer moment. When I last saw the KNOT-ALL-IN, she was looking good!

So, each year, when the university comes back in session, many college kids join the cruiser ride. They often do not have cruisers, don't dress up, and use it as an opportunity to get hammered and behave like hooligans. This is antithetical to the cruiser philosophy. In years gone by, I've seen them pee in people's yard, kick over trashcans, ride through gardens.

Real jerks.

Sometimes the police warn cruisers, but mostly the cruisers wish to lose these elements and return it to the "happy thursday" event it is. So they "shut it down". Stay under the radar and don't post up any cruiser info on the site.

After a period the jerks find some other area to terrorize and leave the cruisers alone. Hopefully we are just in the midst of that right now.

so The Doctor is going to be in town next week and he's down for joining us for Cruiser Night if I can find him a bike.

And yes... the children.... THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!111169

the good news (for me) is that when the cart blew up nobody was witness. Same with flipping that sucker on it's side and sending stuff flying everywhere. It was dark.
