Leggs, like a crack addict I just purchased tickets to Streetcar N. D. (opening night!) and King Lear. Back to Oregon for more drama in avoidance of my own drama.

I love your addiction, Sullly! Have a blast!
(I received an email yesterday to read and sing for "Modern Streetcar, The Musical" next week ... I'm intrigued. I'll let you know what I think of the script and music.)

Kath, you keep posting away, you proud Aunt!! I think I speak for all when I say the energy is FANTASTIC!!

I hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday ... it's glorious here, as I sit on my new front porch, surrounded by the desert breeze, dancing trees and birds full of songs.

Leggs, I read T. Williams modeled the play after his relationship with his sexy, controlling Latin boyfriend at the time. Williams saw himself as Blanche and the lover as Stanley. Not sure if the adaptation was ever done.

The Simpsons spoofed Streetcar the musical. Against Homer's wishes, Marge involves herself in community theatre. She scores the part of Blanche opposite Ned Flanders as Stanley. As Flanders/Stanley approaches Blanche/Marge to take advantage of her, they sing:

"You're a dame and I'm a fella"
"Don't touch me or I'll tell Stella!"

As a Simpsons GEEK, I totally remember that episode!! Hahahahahhahaa! Good call, Sullly!

And for those who haven't yet checked out Rick's thread, "Comments Needed by 4/18 on the Future of the Valley and C4" do so! It's important!

Hahahahhahahaha! You're KILLIN' ME ... (says the girl with the "helmet hair")

Those tumbling passes are so killer, one right after the other... bad ass ... their formations and transitions ... crisps, clean, spot on ... great music... non stop energy!

Thanks for sharing, Kath!! ~xoxoxoxox

I like calling you leggs :-)

You didn't call me Dingus btw. You just used the name. I earned that moniker back in the 90s and cherish it.

Remember a country singer named David Allen Coe? He had a hit called You Never Even Called Me By My Name.

He thought he had the perfect country and western song, but he was informed it was not the perfect country and western song because it didn't include anything about getting drunk, and pick up trucks, and momma, and prison, and trains, and the rain. So David Allan Coe thought about it some and decided to add a verse to his hit song to create THE perfect country and western song.

Remember that sh#t? I partied in David Allan Coe's cave when I was a teenager, imagine that? Dude had his own CAVE?

Well I was drubk
the day my momma
got out of prison
and I went to
pick her up
in the rain
But before I
could get to the station
in my pickup
truck
she got runned over
by a damn ole train

:-)

So you don't have to call me
Dingus

jeez leggs, that's scary! I quoted that verse from memory, that's even scarier! I thought I'd ass-caped that Nashville Scene.
