Hahahhahahahhahahaa!! Ohhhh Craig!

Those photos of Kaity are all about her eyes and hands...
her hands tell the story at first... and then those eyes... those eyes burning a loving hole right into you for f*#king with her!

Love it! Thanks for posting!

We are gonna go squeeze the Lemmon ... after one more cup of joe!

Such a cute son, Leggs. Love your robot pose above. Hope to see you in person at Facelift '13. How great would it be if both you and ekat could be there...

(thank you for the compliment about The Pickle... I love him so much! he worries me to no end, but he is such an innately caring, loving and giving young man, despite the normal worries and decision he makes I don't always agree with, I know deep down he will be just fine)

Facelift 2013:
Oh Sullly... that would be just perfect!
I can honestly say, I have "met" some remarkable women on this forum... would love to actually give lisa mae hugs to you both in real life.

{{If my photoshop skills sucked less, I'd photoshop a pic of the three of us "together"! hahahhahahahhaa!!}}

That means so much to me that you think so, Gal ... YOU are a f*#king badass climber, I find myself in awe at your talent and ability to keep a level head. I am SOOOOOOO terrified of heights, the last time Mr. Bee and I tried up at Ridgeline on the Lemmon, I FROZE at the second bolt. FROZE. (no meltdown, I simply stopped moving ... and then calmly came back down.) (shhhh, don't tell anyone!)

Don't even worry about freezing up, it happens... just trying is the first step, then you'll be up to the 3rd bolt, next the fourth, then the top. I joke about "team climb" ~ if you freeze up and know it's not happening, no worries, a lower, then someone else gives it a go... try it on toprope and see if it feels more manageable. The lead head is a tricky thing and can mess with us all, some more than others... some friends I know never get freaked out... I am not one of those. And then i can't imagine what it would be like with an added fear of heights... keep on doing what you're doing, and it'll feel more comfortable as you expose yourself to a lot of different climbs... you've got it!!! Keep going for it! Did you know that the other day i was at the crux of some thing and it started hailing on me? Dang, that was a lower off & team climb episode ;-)

It IS normal to freeze up?! *Phew* Cause the first time I literally FROZE. Like, I could not move one more step up! (shit show!) I was only 15 feet off the ground! (something is seriously wrong with me! I've jumped out of perfectly good airplanes, I cannot move UP a rock I've sport climbed before?) Hahahahhaha! I was slapping myself on the head on that one!!

Today... well... today I went to Windy and learned a bit more about safety, as mentally I was thinking about the young Tito ... I figured, "OK, Lisa Mae... it's never a bad idea to review things."

One of these days!!

Gal, you should teach... have you considered that? I think you would be rad to learn from! Patient and understanding, with the right amt of "you go girl" enthusiasm!

Dingus... I love and appreciate the advice. Thank you.
I KNOW I can do it... and you know what? I will! This I know about myself ... for sure. ;) And, I best get my sh#t together so we can climb together, huh?

cragman may i respectfully challenge your assertion stated above?

for yours seems a bit biased; of your saturation within western culture.

pursuit of dreams demands of us a frantic set of emotions
that search for a moving target.
thus we run about,
chasing our imagination
while depleting our psychic stasis,
often trampling our understanding
in the process.

i've not much studied eastern philosophy,
but i understand that monks and other seekers of mental poise
often sit still within a dank cave and stare at wee stones,

and it could be that the entire universe (all dreams included
even ones that we haven't dreamed up yet)
flows into the stationary
and calm soul, bloating the believer with useless genius
and applicable resolve.

i, like you, can't sit still.
and it could be argued that our restlessness
and our dream-stalking practices have
won us much reward.

but it could also be argued
that our manic love of the prosperity hunt
has stupefied us
such that we can't recognize the
dreams that have been assigned to us
of the universe's will,
and our maturing process
is on pause,
and we will never graduate beyond stupid americans
until we learn right to sit still
and let the beyonds chase us?

whew, that was exhausting.
i need a good cave-squat now.

Good morning Gentlemen, or should I say "Old Farts"?

;)

Jim... your photos are AWESOME. The action shots... fantastic... and the little child at the helm of the raft... makes my heart melt. Thanks for sharing!

Dingus... You're funny. And now I want to dance. But I always want to dance!

Cragman: I am so excited for you and the next 6 months will FLY by ... Proud of you, friend. You never backed away from your dream.

Weeg... your writing always leaves one wondering... which is a good thing.

I think everyone knows I love trains ... this happened in Tucson this morning, which when I heard, caused great concern in my heart... after listening to the story, I am happy to say no one is hurt, though my drive to work is officially jacked up:

I don't mind a different commute to work. My magic hair predicts rain for our desert, I have Saturday off, I get to take wonderful photos of a photographer I admire (I am honored she even asks me!), a great production I am proud of taking up most of my time, a son who is safe and well and a Thanksgiving in July pool party this evening.

I get to see The Avett Brothers soon!!!!! That one makes me want to pee my pants! Oh, and a trip on the table to visit CO and WY once my show closes in late August. Much to look forward to!!
(Did I mention I love the Avett Brothers?!)

I feel pretty lucky. Actually, I feel damned lucky, and quite loved.

Appreciating every day and Enjoying Life, Leggs
