eKat ... I love that photo!! What a fantastic way to start the day!! (wow!)
Double rainbow on a Monday... what more could a person want? ~xo

Well Leggs, Committed to two days of lectures, mingling with actors and directors for Taming of the Shrew and My Fair Lady in two weeks. A NYC dramaturge will run it. I'm pretty excited. Plus the drive up 5 past Mt. Shasta is spectacular.
Speaking of theatre, Sullly, the theatre company I did The Pavilion for just opened Lysistrata this weekend, a show I did in college. Their adaptation was awesome and hilarious and made this Greek comedy very accessible to those intimidated by Greek plays.
Some photos, post show:

Beloved theatre gals! Some of the cast and the director of Lysistrata....
Hot damn. I took a course on the Oresteia this past fall. Good stuff. It taught me that Shakespeare totally ripped off parts of it for Hamlet. I like the whole concept of the chorus and their mysterious function. Read Aristophanes (Clouds?), but my memory fails me thirty years later.
The dance party shot of you above reminds me of Sprockets with Deter.
It's awesome that you point that out, Sullly, great observation!
I was leader of the Female Chorus, which was a great challenge in terms of getting all the women to speak along with me, and to convey the emotion of the message(s).
Sullly, you're awesome.
JIM! Aaron Neville was JUST in town a couple of months ago. How wonderful that you treated friends to the Neville Brothers, twice! What a great thing to do!
Here you go... a favorite... backed up by some legends!
Thanks for sharing the links, Jim... they are awesome.
The sweetest thing about the Neville Brothers concerts I saw was how they treated the opening act.
On both occasions, a rather scared unknown took the stage first and started playing. Charles, Art and Cyril Neville humbly took their places in the opener's band and subtly brought the best out of the opener without playing above them.
It was a really respectful and positive use of their skills.
So am I! I love surrounding myself with truly awe inspiring people...
And again, Team AWESOME! couldn't have done it without all the support we received... near and far. Our team captain is a wonderful inspiration and I feel so lucky to have her in my life.
Probably the longest concert I ever saw - Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell
zBrown... you f*#king crack my music lovin' ass up! Thank you for posting.
And thank you for your kindness on this thread. It's appreciated. (you make me want to piss my pants at times)
10b4me... told you... not very lady like, huh? ;)
This version of Adele's hit was just sent to me ... love it:
I haven't actually listened to Adelle in months... nice to be reminded of her words.
While others went to the bar post walk, Grubbs and I geek-ed out and did some urban geo caching, in the rain ... not our preferred setting, but fun nonetheless!
All in the Timing by David Ives ~ The Philadelphia

"The Philadelphia" by David Ives

"The Philadelphia: At a restaurant, a man is informed by a friend that his frustratingly unlucky day is the result of his ensnarement in an anomalous pocket of reality, called a "Philadelphia," in which he will only be fulfilled by asking for the opposites of what he wants. By the end, the man begins to feel content at last, only for his friend to be pulled also into the Philadelphia, while the waitress groans of her own entanglement in a "Cleveland."
