JIM! Aaron Neville was JUST in town a couple of months ago. How wonderful that you treated friends to the Neville Brothers, twice! What a great thing to do!

Here you go... a favorite... backed up by some legends!

Thanks for sharing the links, Jim... they are awesome.

The sweetest thing about the Neville Brothers concerts I saw was how they treated the opening act.

On both occasions, a rather scared unknown took the stage first and started playing. Charles, Art and Cyril Neville humbly took their places in the opener's band and subtly brought the best out of the opener without playing above them.

It was a really respectful and positive use of their skills.

That's a wonderful thing to share, Jim... and speaks volumes about the Brothers... their kindness and lack of ego. Very rare these days, it seems.

Thank you again for sharing. Your contributions are always so positive and in tune with my message of this thread. Be well!

One of my favorite songs ... and though my heart sings to the sea, it also sings to the trees, mountains, and the seasons of change.

I am totally awed by Team Awesome!

So am I! I love surrounding myself with truly awe inspiring people...
And again, Team AWESOME! couldn't have done it without all the support we received... near and far. Our team captain is a wonderful inspiration and I feel so lucky to have her in my life.

Peace and Love to you, Crock.

"The Philadelphia" by David Ives

"The Philadelphia: At a restaurant, a man is informed by a friend that his frustratingly unlucky day is the result of his ensnarement in an anomalous pocket of reality, called a "Philadelphia," in which he will only be fulfilled by asking for the opposites of what he wants. By the end, the man begins to feel content at last, only for his friend to be pulled also into the Philadelphia, while the waitress groans of her own entanglement in a "Cleveland."

Hahahahahahhaa! Tell me about it, Crock!! (Though secretly... or not so secretly, I'd love the ability to grow a full beard.)
Until that day, I'll settle for this:

That's our "guy" narrating that, isn't it?? (please tell me I'm right!)

"Nobody comes into your life by mere coincidence"
"Trust your instincts"

Words to live by.
I love it, Kath. TFPU! (did I get that little "code" right??)

YES! I could tell the moment he started talking... very soothing when you consider his other clips. :)

I heard this song driving home this beautiful Tucson evening...

I sang the entire thing, very loudly, with the windows down, all the way home. Some drivers actually smiled ... others looked at me like I'd lost my marbles. Excellent, either way.

HA. . . I was driving a big ass UHAUL one time. . . all it had was an FM radio with bass heavy speakers that sounded a lot like Kleenex boxes . . . I found Casey Kasem's Count Down from the frikken DISCO era. . . I cranked those puppies up and BELLOWED, at the top of my lungs. . . I even pulled a John Travolta, pointin' and hip checkin'. . . I'd'a gone to Leavenworth had I been pulled over. . . I was ridin' high!

:-)

Oh yeah. . . that was the infamous RED BULL DAY!

HA!

Bah! Note to self: Avoid Red Bull. ;)
I tend to sing at full speed and volume at all times. It's kind of a problem that I don't give a sh#t about! (heh)
