He sure can!! I will never regret getting him his first board when he was 6 years old! I could watch him skate alllll day. (Not to mention, I think he is really cute) ;)
When I was about his age I skated all the time, then stopped for about ten years. Decided to get back into it and I don't remember it hurting so bad. Haha, I guess when your body serves as the shock absorber it should hurt. Skate or die! Hope he sticks with it cause he's got the gift.

I'm glad you're getting back into it, Just In. It's a sport that intimidates the crap out of me!
I suspect Pickle will stick with it... Not to mention he is an artist and would love to design boards and such. I told him I wanted to Trademark "Pickle Art" for use in the future as he continues to find his artistic voice.
