Love the Hawaii album, Studly. You do all your girls proud, and vice versa

I like Sammy's style, Dingus.
Where was that taken? That looks like a GREAT easy approach.

It was taken at Auburn Quarry on the Middle Fork of the American River, near Auburn, coincidentally.

Check your email for more from that day.

The Quarry ... sweet. Remember the Rocklin Quarry? That's the first place I climbed. ;)

Email ... 10-4. Sweet! Great family pics. Thank you, Dingus. ;)

I'm going to do an interpretive dance based off of "TFPU".

I'll film it, of course.

I've been enjoying life a lot more in recent times and really trying to make the most of every moment. 2 summers ago I nearly broke my ankle and re-sprained it several times afterward. All but made me immobile for months.

It made me realize how much I really loved being active, skiing, hiking, climbing, anything to be outdoors. It made me come back a stronger climber than ever, but more than that, I simply loved it more and enjoyed every little up and even the downs.

It's amazing hindsight can show you how much you were missing when something like that is taken away from you, and how fragile our health can be.

Now as I'm typing this, I'm icing and recovering from a highball boulder fall yesterday where I crushed my heel. Thank god I didn't break my ankle. I'm trying to stay zen and I can see again how much I miss it already. Hopefully a few more days and I can really "enjoy life" again.

Cheers :)

Oh Wowsa Sully, I can't even relate to that kind of high school sophistication. We were all beehive and chiffon.

You done so good with your kids...they have a role model of profound strength and grace. That's what will be the corner stone of their character...not a big house or wealth. Children of entitlement often struggle greatly when they need to get out on their own. You know that from some of your job locales. Glad to hear your knee is on the mend. Hoping to see you soon...we'll be back in Bay Area next week sometime.

Handsome guy! Too soon you'll be an empty nester!
