Those guys are complete fitness studs, you would think we could at least appreciate that.

I can appreciate the fact that they don't carry bombs or have guns and missiles and they paint them pretty colors and fly in unison. At least it is a step in a better direction. What else are they good for?

F-4? or A-4?

sorry I'll miss Seafair this year, but mostly for the food, the beer and the music, not so much the noise (Angels and hydros).

waste of money even before it was found out what as#@&%es the current angles [sic] are

This quote resonated with me for several unrelated reasons:

1. When I saw the thread title, I wondered if the OP was about heavenly beings or pitons;

2. My best friend, other than my wife, was a flight surgeon in the Navy between his internship and residency. When he got married, he was stationed at Miramar, and one of his friends was the Blue Angels' flight surgeon. They flew his friend in and out, to and from Pensacola, in formation. Our tax dollars at work.

Growing up at Glenview NAS had its perks, especially if you had a good
connection in the family and got to sit in the cockpit of a Blue Angel!
Of course, back then they were flying F9f Cougars. Did I just date myself? :-o

I thought is was about a baseball team, or yes, a mis-spelling of the piton.

I saw them first when I was 5yrs old on the east coast.

Try and catch em anytime I can.

SF is probably one of the best venues around.

Nothing says "America" in the air better than the Blue Angels.

The war machine has many facets, this happens to be the sharpest.

again I ask, is the millions (possibly hundreds of millions) it cost to stage worth it?

Funny how we here enjoy the fruits of empire but some shun the means through which they obtained said fruits.

How else is an empire to survive if not through systematic violence (inside and outside of its borders)?
