Has the Ford been stuck there for years? Since that big piece of concrete would prevent the disk
harrow from working, it had to have been put there with a skip loader in hopes of levering the tractor
upward. That also eliminated any traction possessed by the rear wheels. And the angle of the harrow
suggests the weight was added after the ground had already dried out. I would guess the tractor no
longer runs. But if it did...............

Take a sledge hammer and break that concrete up. Probably have to jack the harrow's rear end to
disconnect the three point hitch. Then go in with a shovel, dig out the rear wheels and provide a ramp
for them going forward. Have to dig out underneath the body so the weight is all on the wheels.

Apparently someone decided the embarrassment was not enough to justify the sweat.

Edit:
That embarrassment would have been substantial in view of how close the road is. So I conclude the
stuckee may have since passed on. The expectation being that the horse property will shortly be
subdivided.

they don't do much for me in a museam. i like em dirty and working;)

the way to get that ford out is with a log skidder when the mud is wet enough to let her go.

It's not uncommon to add weight to disc harrows trying to get them to bite into soil.

Where did you take the picture of the stuck tractor Dingus? Any chance it is located near Ione? The clays in that area are great for pottery but a bit hard on vehicles ;-)

How can we be sure it did not sink below the water / clay?

Did you actually see it up the hill?

There it is, guys. This museum's in Woodland, CA, in Dingus' immediate vicinity.

Thanks for all that camera shooting, DMT.

Well, tractor tyres, anyway...

Lots of unlikely tires on even more unlikely vehicles in Moab this week....

DMT, strong work!

How about some Frog tracteurs?

The SFV used a Lanz hot bulb engine. Hey, they're French, they gotta be diferrent, right?
