So...Mark Hudon gave me the greatest gift of all. He enlisted Sonya to make a necklace for me out of one of Ian's stoppers. What a neat surprise. I will cherish it always!!

I'm pretty sure that is a PETZL Basic Ascender and not a Croll Ascender. Might be a consideration for the buyer.

Oh, yes, you are correct. I guess it's an older model than the one I have.
Someone emailed me about everything in that photo just this morning. I'm waiting for the confirming email from Paypal before removing the photo.
sold $325 worth of gear and there still some good deals left!
The helmet, rope, shoes, Yates Big Wall Harness, those locking biners, are all still available.

Not sure why I chose today, but this morning I got the nerve to finally look back and re-read the posts I read to my husband Charlie/Ian the night before his passing. One jumped off the page at me as I remember Charlie smiling as I read and re-read this post to him:
"we all strive for some fashion of a legacy- if we know it or not. Climbers are that way in large part. Charlie is such a legacy in climbing. One acquires good friends through good deeds and that is truly the mark and measure of a legacy-that will stand to eternity in the hearts and minds of the MANY.
Charlies eyes have been gifted in the vertical world, and that world has been gifted by Charlies presence. SALUTE to you sir."
Posted by Ron Anderson.
I only wish you all could have seen him smile as I enthusiastically repeated, "Hear that Charlie? A LEGACY in climbing!!" Those were his last smiles on this earth. Lord, how I miss that man. This morning, I wept, but only a little...for myself I think, because I miss him so much. But mostly I smiled, and even laughed a little...for him...because I think he would want that. I am so grateful that I can think of him now, and not so much dwell on his death, but rejoice in his life.
To the TacoStand community, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your kindness with him on his last journey.

I was searching my phone for a number when Ian's name and number came up. I paused and thought, "aw, f*#k, I'm never going to get to talk sh#t with Ian again".

Michelle,,had no idea of my simple words and the effect of those. I simply dont know what to say, other than I think of you two often, and this thread.
The words i typed were simply the truths of a life well lived. All the credit goes to Ian and You..
