I finally managed to read this whole thread. I really wish I would have got to it sooner when Ian was still around so I could wish him well. My condolences to Michelle and Trevor for your loss.

My eyes are tearing just writing this.....

It seems like forever since I have heard your voice. And at the same time, it seems like yesterday. Your beloved climbing gear is now in the hands of these beautiful "Supertopians" who will cherish it all the more knowing it was once yours. My heavy heart gets a tiny bit lighter every day, and when this wonderful community shows me pictures of your gear in use, I think I can actually "feel" your smile and your warm presence. I want to thank you for all the gifts you have given me in your life, and even in your death. You are now my guiding light helping me to stay the course and to always try to do the next right thing. IWALY, now and forever.

I was using Ian's cams at Smith Rock on Thursday and Friday, and yesterday at a local crag. His memory is carried on!

The Metolius gloves are size large and brand new. Wrap a measuring tape around the palm of your hand, these gloves are a hair large on me (but their mediums are too small) and may hand measures 8.25".

We should be starting to get some stories back about where Ian's gear has been. Can't wait to hear them!

Well, the Ian Gill Fund Raiser has come to it's end.

Someone recently made Michelle an offer on ALL of the gear still unsold and she accepted! I don't think that person wants to be named here but all I'll say is that person is very colorful!

All in all, selling Ian's gear raised somewhere around $6000 for Michelle and Trevor. I know they really appreciate every single sale.

Another part of the sale of the gear is the photos of the gear being used that will be filtering in as the climbings season hits it's stride. It's going to be fun to see the photos and read the stories.

Cheers and thank you all very much!
