Not sure why I chose today, but this morning I got the nerve to finally look back and re-read the posts I read to my husband Charlie/Ian the night before his passing. One jumped off the page at me as I remember Charlie smiling as I read and re-read this post to him:

"we all strive for some fashion of a legacy- if we know it or not. Climbers are that way in large part. Charlie is such a legacy in climbing. One acquires good friends through good deeds and that is truly the mark and measure of a legacy-that will stand to eternity in the hearts and minds of the MANY.

Charlies eyes have been gifted in the vertical world, and that world has been gifted by Charlies presence. SALUTE to you sir."
Posted by Ron Anderson.

I only wish you all could have seen him smile as I enthusiastically repeated, "Hear that Charlie? A LEGACY in climbing!!" Those were his last smiles on this earth. Lord, how I miss that man. This morning, I wept, but only a little...for myself I think, because I miss him so much. But mostly I smiled, and even laughed a little...for him...because I think he would want that. I am so grateful that I can think of him now, and not so much dwell on his death, but rejoice in his life.

To the TacoStand community, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your kindness with him on his last journey.

I was searching my phone for a number when Ian's name and number came up. I paused and thought, "aw, f*#k, I'm never going to get to talk sh#t with Ian again".

$10 each all the biners are unused.

The Metolius gloves are size large and brand new. Wrap a measuring tape around the palm of your hand, these gloves are a hair large on me (but their mediums are too small) and may hand measures 8.25".

These shoes are made by La Sportiva but I don't know their model or size, there is nothing on their insides.
They are in very good shape, and look like they have new rands and soles. His Five-Tennies were size 10 but I don't know how tight he wore his climbing shoes.
Someone make me an offer, give them a try, if they don't work, pass them on.

Mark,
did you get my email telling you which pieces I would like? sent a couple days ago, but haven't heard back. either way, seems easier to just post here now (and I've modified my wish list): the top two aliens in photo 6 and the bottom cam in photo 9. are they still available? and how much do you want?
thanks!

Bump for gear goodness.

Mark, I also sent you an email yesterday about those pulleys - I was wondering if they are suitable for that pre built hauler. If so, I'd like to pick them up. Thanks!

Hey Mark,
yeah, just submitted the donation, but just to clarify I don't need the pulleys, just the top two aliens in photo 6 and bottom cam in photo 9 (I think you knew this but that last post sounded otherwise). great big thank you for coordinating all of this!!!

Okay, let's get working on those draws. The biners are all brand new and only one of the slings looks a bit used. $10 each.
