pretty much the way it is playing out. the zionist plan (A Clean Break), is to fragment middle eastern nations either through war as in iraq or civil unrest ie syria et al. and we do most of the dirty work

No fatty. This is too important to be buried in some poli thread. This should be front page.

Big Mike,

"The Clash" thread has no politics, strictly related to conflict in the middle east.

Love ya Mike, but that article has more opinion than fact. All of the blaming of the US for the killings is opinion, not fact. I don't doubt that Israel isn't sowing seeds in there. It beats having a unified enemy staring at you and training their weapons on your country. I find it difficult to get worked up that Syria and Iran are so busy with their own issues that they can't keep sliding missiles, other weapons and military support across to Lebanon to kill Israelis via Hezbollah.

History is full of arab on arab violence. Long before Israel was a country. Much like the Protestants and Catholics who use to routinely kill each other: you've got Sunni and Shia, and various sects and craziness in each. They don't need the US or Israel to get involved to hate each other - they already do. Bring an eyewitness and then lets talk.

The UN has observers in the area, where are their reports of US complicity? Todays report from the independent UN observiers, who can't seem to do sh#t to stop the wanton murders and deaths, is typical.

"On Tuesday, three UN vehicles were fired upon, though it was not clear who was responsible for the shooting. Ladsous said the shots appeared to come from a crowd of civilians. United Nations monitors trying to reach the Syrian town of Haffeh on Tuesday were turned back by angry crowds who threw stones and metal rods at them, and three UN vehicles were fired upon as they left the area, a UN spokeswoman said. “UN observers trying to reach the town of al-Haffeh today were confronted with angry crowds that surrounded their vehicles, stopping them from proceeding any further,” spokeswoman Sausan Ghosheh said in a statement. Ghosheh said the monitors had been trying since June 7 to reach Haffeh, where activists say President Bashar al-Assad’s force have been battling hundreds of rebel fighters and the United States has warned of a potential massacre. “The crowd, who appeared to be residents of the area, then hurled stones and metal rods at the UN vehicles,” Ghosheh said. The observers turned back and as they were leaving three vehicles were fired at, she added. The shots were fired deliberately, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Herve Ladsous told Reuters in an interview."

You are saying that our country is responsible for these kinds of things, that we are targeting Syria somehow. Lets see the proof. Clearly the Jews should lay down their arms, stop worrying over protecting themselves, and just trust the united nations to stop any pogroms or atrocities against them.

not.

By the way, here's a much better written version which is on the Iranian Republican Guard (Fars News) web site. http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.php?nn=9103081824

Which references http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2012/06/04/the_real_reason_to_intervene_in_syria

The assad regime in Syria has been directly and indirectly responsible for killing Lebonese politicians who say any negative thing about Assad, and killing and kidnapping Americans as well. They say that payback is a bitch?

Let us hope so, the Ghost of William Buckley approves.

Doesn't pass the stupid test. never mind that it is entirely opinion and innuendo (OMG! We have plans for military action in Syria! Stop the f&#king presses! Got news for you, we've got plans for intervention pretty much anywhere on earth, including Canada and Mexico, and I'm sure they have plans for how they might respond militarily if the US were to be taken over by, say, aggressive collectivists, like California. Because the one thing you don't want is to have to start from scratch when the sh*t hits the fan. And the Turks would be surprised and upset to find they live in a shiekdom).

The stupid test? Clearly the potential cost of arming and associating with terrorists would far, far, far exceed any value in doing so, it would certainly far exceed any difficulties involved in just saying screw the Russians and UN, we're going in. This is so obviously insane sans any hard data that only someone blinded by bile and ideology could possibly give it any credence.

Only one caveat.

What makes you think that zero isn't really that stupid?

It's all over the board from your link Ahab: You've got the German newpaper reporting that Sunnis killed shia and claimed they were Sunnis. And
"Syrian forces are pounding Hom"

Do they think that there are no women or children there?

"Just in the last 10 days they (insurgents) have killed about 250 Government troops"

Blah blah blah. I'm not even saying we are better, we drop bombs onto Al Queffers that often kill innocents. Regardless, the Syrians have helped kill Americans and Israelis with impunity. The kid running the country inherited it cause his daddy was El Presidente. The people of Syria are tired of getting screwed over by tyrants and dictators for life that got the job based on their daddies being mean sobs. Payback is a bitch.

of course, blame the Israelis and 'Zionists';

couldn't be just sunnis killing shiites killing sunnis killing Christians killing......

there must be some nefarious plan hatched by the CIA-Mossad cabal.
