http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/11/world/europe/many-voices-of-sweden-via-twitter.html
"The @Swedens are nominated by others — people are not supposed to put their own name forward — and then selected by a committee of three, including Mr. Kampmann. The qualifications are that they have to be interesting, Twitter-literate and happy to post in English."
where can we send in the nominations?

Interesting that khaholatingtong says this is "real" and I haven't a freakin' clue what it even means. I am not "twitter" literate and don't know how the thing works.
So what is real for one is surreal for the next poster.

lol point taken Tami. and i guess when it comes down to it one could probably argue that the "real"ness of it ( even if you did know what twitter is ) is completely relative anyways. shrug, interesting link.

Send an email to curatorapplication@visitsweden.com with replies to the following questions and we’ll consider your suggestion.
Is he or she an active Twitter user?
What are his or hers biggest interests and passions?
Why would someone outside of Sweden be interested in him or her specifically as a curator?
What’s his or her current name on Twitter?
What’s your full name, email address and phone number?
Well, Lolli, I'd be happy to vote for you if you are interested in doing it. Personally, I am not at all into the whole Twitter thing. Having two internet-based time-sinks (Facebook and Supertopo) is about my limit.
Hope the no smoking effort is still going well.

interesting, Twitter-literate That seems to be a contradiction in terms. Twitter and interesting don't seem compatible; and literacy certainly doesn't seem evident on Twitter.
I can't say I have ever "twitted"; but when I read news articles and included is a statement that (fill in the blank) "twitted" or "___" was twitted earlier, I never see much of what I know to be literate nor does it seem interesting.
But if it works for Ed I must be wrong. I don't know of anyone more literate than he (certainly not me) and his posts are definitely interesting.
