One of the newer first world problems is lack of freedom (climbing outside is one of the ways to escape this).
One of aspects of freedom is a feeling of being free (vs. someone telling you "you're free cause you got Constitution")...
Here, you can't speak your mind anymore directly...political correctness,
fear of straight talk/all the bullsh##t style communication, etc. People can freely run their mouths online anonymously, but face-to-face...forget it. People fear being sued, arrested, fired--beaten the crap out--and otherwise persecuted. Face-to-face it's all smiles and fakeness...then, being stabbed in the back by the same person (sudden breakups "via a note" are a part of it). Esp. noticeable in coastal areas...fake it or be ostracized. Everyone is supposed to play some prescribed role/fit in some box. Try defending yourself and you will be arrested or at least have the cops called on you (or sued). Kids are taught not to fight for what they believe in it, but rather agree, "forgive" and turn their butt and be "above it" (yeah). You can't climb a tree legally....can't hang training equipment in a park legally without some ranger demanding $$...police state, Gestapobamacare, Google spying, etc. What's more important to a person, safety or feeling of freedom? If safety alone was only important, we would never have revolutions in the world....

Freedom is when you're free to do things, right, without feeling someone is watching over your every step?

I second Gene's nomination of rrider's worthy polemic.
I can't believe I went to the building dept yesterday and didn't feel my
blood pressure go up more than 30 or 40 points. Good thing I was only
after a permit for a new panel which has already been done for a year (shhhh).
Of course the reason I need the permit is so Edison will come out and run
new wires to replace the ones THE FUKKING SQUIRRELS HAVE BEEN CHEWING ON!!!

Smoke detectors are a joke. The people that need them don't have them or
can't afford to put batteries in them.

Now, a serious FWP: retards on the internet chess planet who abort a game
because they don't like your opening move. WEAK!

WTF with this pink La Boulange bullsh#t???!!! Crappy-tasting, totally overpriced pastries have completely usurped the former mediocre overpriced pastries.

The fact that I can't get my seasonal pumpkin scone from Starbucks is a tradgedy.
A TRADGEDY I tell you!!!!

F*#kers. Hope they burn in hell.

^^^^^^^^OMGthe pink crap has reached Southern California? Oh no. In Bishop a few weeks ago....and there was the pink .... Oy vey. It's taken over the Bay Area.
I wrote a letter to the district manager and got a polite response with a card for a free drink. Not exactly what I inquired about.

The place I bought in Playa del Carmen, Well...My ocean view is partially obstructed by a giant palm tree. The real problem is finding a trustworthy person to housesit my place in Montana in the winter and someone to watch over my place in Mexico in the summer...

Mercedes refuses to produce enough E63 AMG S wagons to meet demand.
Is this some sort of payback?
