I think you are a good person who is passionate in your beliefs. The real issue is that you don't feel you are ever wrong, and have no tolerance for other ideas and thoughts. I'd hope you could look at that within yourself Phil, and realize you are human, and thus often wrong: just like the rest of us. For instance, I was wrong about Ronald Reagan, after the fact when he was long gone, I realized he was an honest person. He was more honest and true to himself that I would have believed. That didn't make him perfect, and Iran - contra (et al) is still an ugly sore in the side of our forigon policy.

I do think we need to be kinder to each other. So there:-) I said it.

Bill thanks for that. But I want to say a few things.
You are right, I do think I am right. But I take a lot of time and absorb a lot of information before I form an opinion. I do not hold opinions I don't believe in or think are wrong. Do you?
I do listen to alternative positions and adjust mine accordingly. The folks who get a dose of my scorn are those that continuously blather the same political rhetoric that has been repeatedly shown to be wrong. Or do you think Obama needs to show his birth certificate again.

But here is an example of what i am getting at in this thread. Several people have been slagging misogyny all over women on this site. Calling them whores and such. I call them out just like I did Medussa when he unfairly attacked Crimpergirl. Am I being in the wrong?
Fattrad tries to make a disparaging vaguely political comment about Clinton posing with porn stars as if it is pertinent. I jokingly say that unlike Babara Bush at least the are attractive and Moosie takes a crap on me. Do you sense a double standard?

John at least afford me the respect to actually note what I do say not your interpretation of what I say.

Just because Babs is no looker doesn't make her a bad person anymore than being attractive makes the others hookers.

I see a pattern here. The catalyst if you will.
Every time I confront Russ or choose to not sniff his anal vapors and call it rose like I get a slew of smack downs usually referencing what some call my "melt down'.

Read the posts again John. The ones who thought it offensive I agreed with. The ones who called her a whore I did not. If it were just about the perceived offensiveness, like Jan's posts, I had no problem with. Why are you creating a situation that does not really exist?
