It is amazing. How the american political process is able to focus so resolutely on the really important questions of the day. A photograph taken on a visit hosted abroad is more important than unlimited corporate contributions to political candidates or Americans getting much less for their expenditures on medical care than those in other nations. Insurance companies who do not deliver on their contractual obligations. Unregulated banks collapsing and requiring bailouts by taxpayers and the flat to declining income in the US. Never mind esoterics like our balance of payments deficits and unemployment. Oh yes, I almost forgot. Two more failing wars to follow our wonderful accomplishments in Viet Nam. Oops! I almost forgot about the destruction in NYC. Funny how we can forget.

Got my vote if that's the new cabinet. Clinton balanced the budget and got things going more smoothly internationally for the US. Nothing to add to Jstans post above except that maybe Clinton can fix the bullshit GW left behind.
