I have this vision of the makes of Da Brim coming to this thread with a hurt and heartfelt defense of their product. It would even be a good troll for ambitious fisherman.

Maybe they need sponsored athletes to make it cool. Dean Potter could wear one with a chin strap and dispense with the Base Rig.

Ok maybe not enough brim for that but combined with a squirrel suit you'd have this whole other control surface for flying.

Peace

I don't give crap about cool. I'm a two-time melanoma survivor and will wear whatever doesn't get in the way.

@mike m - no ridicule intended. Your serious response just seemed outside of the tone on the thread. Likewise Dolomite.

But since you've brought it up:

I've heard "squamous cell carcinoma" from the mouth of my dermatologist and I wear a hat in the sun alot. I'm on the annual checkup plan and a good friend of mine died from melanoma, so I kinda know how bad it is.

Unfortunately, from what the doctor says, much of the damage was done (for me) a long time ago. I wouldn't be surprised to hear alot of sad stories from posters on this site.

If my waist were skinnier, I would wear Da Brim like a flare skirt.

DaBrim has pulled their ads. Source: Supertopo Newsletter.

I would think that the detractors in this thread should be given last rights or something... nice reading some of you. Adios!

From the shopping bag right to the rear of the cupboard with the other winning Brim concepts:

PS: they should include a Brim 'coffee can' chalkbag with each purchase to complete the fashion statement and sweeten the deal.

I like how the guy on the bike is totally aerodynamically clean, then he puts that freaking air brake on his head.
