While Da Brim seems a bit excessive, I do think that a fold up visor attached to the helmet is much much better than a baseball cap under the helmet. It does look dorky though, but there isn't much I can do about that anyway.

Soon all the cool climbers will have them.

Helmets with visors are the wave of the future.

Leo B., Ed H., FatTrad, MH. We were digging up concrete chunks buried here and there around Camp 4, and got a few hundred kg.

Or maybe it was some sort of Spinal Tap thing.

I am guessing that hair is a damn fine replacement for a helmet: Reduction of impact in a highly scientific manner - besides, that wouldn't fit under any helmet I have ever seen...

Hair makes a great helmet, but da brim would probably look bitchen on Karl.

MisterT! Missed your post - the visor looks like a nice compromise.

When you climb like MisterT, the visor is down-right cool.

I use one of these as a helmet liner that also can cover forehead, ears and neck from sun. Soaks up sweat and breathes well enough.

Still pretty lame, though.
