Met her on the Grand the following summer (or so). Told her I liked her story--wished she'd write some more. Maybe she's here somewhere...

Steve, that scan ain't up to yer usual standards. Can't you crank the
contrast, or scan a braille version, or just bigger?

Steve, wasn't there a similar photo of a couple of guys
who'd just done El Cap showing their hands (maybe it was Skinner and
Piana)?

Quite simply one of the better stories I have read...and re-read over the years.

"GODDAMIT, ANNIE! STRANGLE THE BASTARD BUT NEVER LEAVE TRASH ON THANK GOD!"

I'm not even through reading yet. This is some high drama, literally....

Her Supertopo contact didn't work? She posted in March of this year.

Didn't she take a bunch of heat for this piece ?

It's such a raw & brilliant piece. Any of us who have had a climbing partnership go sour on the climb can agonizingly relate.

But I don't think many of us could write about it with such clarity.

She is friends with Kathy Green so I will try and contact her. That recent posting should have allowed you to get in touch though she may have blocked it for correspondence.
