at Skiing...

This topic idea was spawned by sexy climbers (not to confuse kids with sex) when many posters said their SO or wife was the sexy one (I thought that was cool). And Jayb posted some pics of his kid on another thread (tearing it up climbing). My oldest son got 4th in Super G in the Junior Olympics last weekend and I felt compelled to spray, although the pic above is my youngest son tearing it up after a crash (note the snow packed in his goggles)(TO, age 11). (No wonders the kid can ski, a season pass each of his 11 years). So post those kids climbin, skiing, playin' with dirt...

Jaybro, nice slacklining pic! And it looks like your kid has got to do some cool stuff. My skier kid aint much of a climber. Took him on a 5.4 when he was about 5 or 6 at Smith. Cried about that lowering off stuff...mean dad. The important thing to me is they have the opportunity to try some things and get outside...
dogfather, looks like your daughter is a jayhawk! I went to grad school at KU... rockchalk jayhawk go ku!

golsen, you're right about being a JayHawk. She graduated last year. She could do 12 real chinups her senior year and is 5'11". I'm trying to get her to come climbing since she now has some climber friends at KU. I know she would kick my ass if she ever started climbing.

She definitely looks strong. I always thought that swimming tons would be a good endurance thing for climbing. I was there in the early 90's and helped them get their first climbing wall together at KU. But I must say, there aint much rock around Lawrence, KS.

Ahh, great thread.
Here's my boy on the Shortest Straw. We did a 26 hour push on The Captain after bonking for a few hours when our ropes got horrendously tangled. He was 13 at the time of the ascent.

Good job Austin. Ooooaaahhh!!!!

cool shots people. locker I prefer strawberry jam (hahaha), looks like nice toast though.
rad is she really on one arm? that is radical like dad huh?
ammon, damn. You made your kid stay up for 26 hours? And it was not even in front of an xbox or ps2? Is that childhood cruelty? hahah
Here is perhaps why my kids grew up not liking climbing...

Ammon,
You ever think about putting your kid in a ring with Scott Corey? That's one ass kicking I'd pay to see (and by all means, my money is on the McNeeley tribe).
