I think the clouds compliment the Church Rock formation well in this image. I was so wowed when I was driving up the highway and along came this dome, popped out of nowhere. But when I went to compose the image and saw the glorious clouds(and mountainous background, of course) I was really excited.

Edit to add:
Reilly sez: I forget what this rock is...
Yeah, I think its probably something in Southern Illinois. Looks like something we bolted a bunch of routes on one day.
But seriously, there's a picture of that same rock, with the most bizarre cloud pattern imaginable, as the parting shot in the current (just arrived) issue of Alpinist. I think the editor's kid was just up on it.

The Puget Sound is normally visible above the tree-line, on a clear day. A hundred yards inland, the sky was clear, and a hundred yards out in the Sound, it was completely fogged-in. The wind was blowing the fog inland, and it was breaking up as it went over land.

hey there say, guido... whew, scary stuff as to that kind of weather...
here are some new ones i've got... not the HUGE puffy ones of pre-rain, or etcs...
but fun:
kind of like 'herding sheep' haha, and penning them in:
:)
edit:
say, randisi.... as to the clouds you shared...
that just reminded me:
the other day, the clouds looked so thick, solid, and close to hand,
that: i near-felt i could hold on to one, and pull it down, as if it was a solid object...
:)

medicinal thread here,
man i've been constipated for months,
not a single vowel movement,
the consonants are cloggin my boilogical soup,
my coffee has been a dark universe
maybe sum 'uv the airborne portion of the
water cycle is due upon my eyelids
cause they are cast in black;
heavy as hell's dank basement
and my dreams are flappin about
the lower domains trying to earn
their altitude;
though the horizons be shy on their's ambition.

Bows and flows of angel hair and ice cream castles in the air
and feather canyons everywhere, I've looked at clouds that way.
But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow on everyone.
So many things I would have done but clouds got in my way.
I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
from up and down, and still somehow
it's cloud illusions I recall.
I really don't know clouds at all.
Moons and Junes and ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way that you feel
as every fairy tale comes real; I've looked at love that way.
But now it's just another show. You leave 'em laughing when you go
and if you care, don't let them know, don't give yourself away.
I've looked at love from both sides now,
from give and take, and still somehow
it's love's illusions that I recall.
I really don't know love at all.
Tears and fears and feeling proud, to say "I love you" right out loud,
dreams and schemes and circus crowds, I've looked at life that way.
But now old friends are acting strange, they shake their heads, they say
I've changed.
Something's lost but something's gained in living every day.
I've looked at life from both sides now,
from win and lose, and still somehow
it's life's illusions I recall.
I really don't know life at all.
