If you want long thin 5 star cracks Devil's Tower can't be beat. Many 300 foot routes where you might not put in a piece bigger than an inch. Many sections of routes that are 50-150ft long where you might not put in a piece over a 1/4 inch wide.

Carol's Crack, Devil's Tower

On the 2nd pitch I placed 7 of the same size stopper, maybe even
consecutively (on cord, no need to mess with quickdraws).

One of the finest pitches I have led. Repeated cycling between locks, stems
and liebacks. Delightful.
I later read (on the internet, so it has to be true) that it's continuous
strenuous liebacking.

I should have added that those aren't my photos nor is it me in any of them.

Falling guy is Nico Favresse on Mt. Asgard. More info on his blog, plus tons of other excellent bigwall porn to look at. The other photo is in Patagonia from some other guy's blog. It didn't say anything about the route or what formation it's on, only that it is the "half paso crack".

Alas, I have not, nor will I ever reach uber-dude status. I'm stuck at kinda-sorta-almost-maybe-dude status for now.

Anyway, heres a video trailer for the movie those uber-dudes made about the Asgard route. Check out the whipper at 1:33!!!
