Hey Guys,

I just entered a commercial that I filmed at Stoney Point in Chatsworth, California, for the "Doritos Crash The Superbowl" contest.

Click here to view on the official Doritos website.

Click here to view on YouTube.

Hope you all like it. And if you do, please leave a comment and spread it around to your friends, the more the merrier.

Thanks,

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the great feedback. Thomas, the guy in the blue shirt, is an experienced climber, and he tried to stay true to the sport. Luis, the guy in the yellow shirt, has no experience whatsoever, which is why he was perfect for the part. Lauren, the girl in the purple shirt, was there as a great "asset":)

Please pass it on to your climbing friends if you really enjoyed it. I need all the exposure I can get.

Cheers,

Funny. Great details both right and wrong. I like the way the leader lands on the girl and she disapears into the ground.

Petzl posted a link on their FB page to this commercial asking how many mistakes they can find.

Since there are so many commercials, there shold be a law
that each has to be funny. This would definitely pass the test.
Very funny. Nice work.

Hi guys,

Glad you like the video. As you have already noticed, we did have to make some artistic choices over proper technique and etiquette. We were quite aware during filming that serious climbers would point out all the technical mistakes. If we followed proper protocol, there wouldn't be any jokes, which was the main reason behind the spot. We just wanted to provide some laughs, while still embracing the sport.

All the best,

Maybe funnier if there had been a knot in the end of the rope and the belayer got yanked into the wall just as he was about to snag the bag. But cute enough as is, no offense.

Cintune,

None taken. That's a very valid idea. We just had more fun squashing the girl, especially since she tells him to be careful, and she is the one that gets it in the end. Dramatic irony:)
