From way back when to current times, what are some of the greatest partnerships climbing has seen?

Is it the routes they've climbed together? Is it the epics they've been through? or how long they've actually managed to stay friends?

I'll bite....

Robbins and Frost. For amazing bold climbs, techniques, style and gear.

Don't know if they are still friends.

Lionel Terry and Louis Lachenal come to mind. Whillans and Brown. Bill Murray and whoever he was climbing with...

OK seriously Herb and Jan Conn several hundred f.a.'s of 5th class spires, the hardest route on Cannon cliff for a couple of decades or something like that, and exploring a huge cave system that became a national park. Not sure if they like Red Bull.

Bachar/Kauk before they became frenemies. Together they pushed the limits that made them each individually great.
