For those that missed Daisy 1:

I remember that one. Strange they only ran it one time. I saw LBJ at the airport in Evansville, Ind.

Republicans make things up.
A report conducted by the department of Veterans Affairs’ office of inspector general found no evidence to support the claim 40 veterans died as a result of delays at a veterans medical center in Phoenix. A letter from the new Veterans Affairs secretary Robert A. McDonald to the inspector general, stated “O.I.G. was unable to conclusively assert that the absence of timely quality care caused the deaths of these veterans.” The allegations over the deaths led to a national scandal that resulted in the resignation of former Veterans Affairs secretary Eric Shinseki and a $15 billion federal overhaul of the VA medical system. “I’m relieved that they didn’t attribute deaths to delays in care, but it doesn’t excuse what was happening,” said deputy Veterans Affairs secretary Sloan D. Gibson. “It’s still patently clear there was misbehavior masking how long veterans were waiting for care.”

America is sliding down a slippery slope and the only answer the Republicans can come up with is Sarah Palin or Mitch McConnell and more of the same Tea Bag Buffoonery...? We're in trouble...

Medicare's 10 year projected spending costs have dropped considerably.

Republicans control the media and have perfected the art of brow- beating scared , mindless , angry Americans into believing that wasting billions bombing other countries is a bigger priority than investing tax dollars on basic necessities such as education , jobs with real wages , and neglected infrastructure projects ...The so-called fiscally conservative Republicans keep repeating the big lie that America can't afford to spend tax dollars on it's own people while feigning outrage over the growing deficit that their former leader George W. left us with...

frankly the only thing they (the reboobs) can claim responsibility for is the destruction of our liberties, and a much dirtier environment for the rest of us and... oh yeah... that economy thing...

rj - given the current US budget and all its programs... where spending happens and where it doesn't... what kind of government would you say we have here in the US?

Isn't the problems in Ferguson just a smaller scale mirror for reflecting the same problem of America in the World?
The cops/US military are over budgeted, have nothing else better to do than indiscriminately fire on the innocent without a trial.....

Not that its connected to what I writ... but it is connected with the thread because repubs do this more often than anybody else.

I ask "Is it morally good to always have everything skewed for your own benefit?"

These republican pieces of sh#t are true to form the worst of society.

Will any republicons get what I mean with this video?

 doubt it....

Why are there no republicans talking about this issue?

Some of America's top corporations are parking profits overseas and ducking hundreds of billions in taxes. And how's Congress responding? It's rewarding them for ripping us off
By Tim Dickinson | August 27, 2014

In July, the American pharmaceutical giant AbbVie, maker of the world's top-selling drug – the arthritis treatment Humira – reached a blockbuster deal to acquire European rival Shire, best known for the attention-deficit medication Adderall. The merger was cheered by Wall Street, not for what the deal will do to advance pharmaceutical science, but because it will empower the bigger firm, AbbVie, to renounce its U.S. citizenship.

Related Tea Party The Nonexistent Case for Never Raising Taxes
The Nonexistent Case for Never Raising Taxes

At $55 billion, the AbbVie deal is the largest in a cavalcade of corporate "inversions." A loophole in American tax law permits companies with just 20 percent foreign ownership to reincorporate abroad, which means that if a big U.S. firm acquires a smaller company located in a tax haven, it can then "invert" – that is, become a subsidiary of its foreign-based affiliate – and kiss a huge share of its IRS obligations goodbye.

I still contend that there is not a single repub who will take this on... though I concede that its possible no demi will either...

I really think we can solve the problem by nagging each other about who is right and who is wrong...

I had an interesting conversation yesterday with a friend who is an aeronautical engineer with a large airplane designer.

When the issue of fighters came up, they said that ALL fighter programs are total wastes at this point. We basically have not used fighters for any designed-for purpose in the last 10 years that we could not have done with drones, at FAR less cost, and no risk to pilots.

Even the air being used against ISIS (and I've not heard specified what exactly is being used), is probably drones.

There is no need for air-superiority fighters against ISIS, nor most opponents in the world.

A different engineering friend tells me that we will have supersonic armed drones available in about a year. Probably already do.

Limbaugh Guest Host Erick Erickson: Minimum Wage Workers Are "Mostly People Who Failed At Life"

I'm amazed I ever made it through my failure in life years where I felt like I was winning....

But now realize, after all these years, it was for not... I had never made it out of the failure years....

See.... I knew if I waited long enough I'd see another republican take it in the ass because they are corrupt!!!! To the CORE!!!!

And of course, this all comes out of left field for all of America...
Remember, this went on in Virginia and nobody told anybody anything... And of course, it was all legal in Virginia...
But it turns out it was not legal in the USA.
I say not just the people who were found guilty are the ones that should be skewered.. But all the benefits the rich guy got should be paid back to the state, or he should be sent to jail to pay his debt.....

Repub on the whole are just corrupt arrogant human being like mammals..

TGT- What do you expect when you don't reign in the excesses of capitalism during a boom? You get a bust. Shocker. Then you add a government totally uninterested in fixing the problem. Double shocker.

Activist in North Carolina is passing out voting rights leaflets, gets detained by police but they are unable to cite the law that he is breaking. They then arrest him for "resisting arrest" despite it apparently being illegal for them to arrest him without citing a statute to begin with. This would be a clumsy plot device were it a movie instead of real life.

Strange how the "problem sectors" of the economy are the ones that are the most heavily regulated and subsidized by government - housing, health care, and education.

We are near the top of another massive bubble in stocks and high yield debt, which was 100% engineered by public policy - low interest rates and "quantitative easing" (QE), to make us believe the economy is recovering. When the inevitable bust comes, it will be amusing to see how many morons attribute it to "the excesses of capitalism".
