TX Repub Incumbent Fears Letting People Vote

http://thinkprogress.org/immigration/2013/06/17/2170721/marchant-latinos-immigration/

The proposed immigration overhaul “is very unpopular in my district,” said Marchant, who represents suburbs west of Dallas. “The Republican primary voters, they’re being pretty vocal with me on this subject.” Besides, he said, “if you give the legal right to vote to 10 Hispanics in my district, seven to eight of them are going to vote Democrat.”

really wild how the liberal mainstream media entertains arch conservatives baseless allegations about illegals voting all the while refusing to cover case after case after case of republican operatives committing felony voter frauds and collusions to commit same

bradblog.com is a great site for keeping track of the unreported avalanche of republican crime regarding this issue

theres a great video out there of a pastor explaining to his congregation the details...

"dont fall for this democracy talk! we DONT want the masses to vote"

its dated but accurate in explaining the work of rove and the mad racists the christian minority has propelled into state office using billionaires money to gerrymander

What I find interesting is the fact that when there is a Dem POTUS in the office, you will regularly see critical/satirical pieces against various actions or policies of that POTUS, in spite of the fact they are a Dem, and not a Repug.

When there's a Repug in the WH, though, everybody in that party just falls right into line, never daring to criticize or step out of line.

http://rhrealitycheck.org/article/2013/06/17/texas-congressman-masturbating-fetuses-prove-need-for-abortion-ban/

As the House of Representatives gears up for Tuesday’s debate on HR 1797, a bill that would outlaw virtually all abortions 20 weeks post fertilization, Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) argued in favor of banning abortions even earlier in pregnancy because, he said, male fetuses that age were already, shall we say, spanking the monkey.

“Watch a sonogram of a 15-week baby, and they have movements that are purposeful,” said Burgess, a former OB/GYN. “They stroke their face. If they’re a male baby, they may have their hand between their legs. If they feel pleasure, why is it so hard to believe that they could feel pain?”

Dr. F:
The "Tea Baggers" (vile name) you so disdain originally sprang up in opposition to the Wall St. bailouts. Realizing this could lead to an awakening of the gen public to the evils of the Rothchild/Fed Reserve banking system, the Kochs quickly sprang into action and corrupted the movement into the batshit crazy wingnuts.
Just remember they share the exact same DNA as the Occupy movement before the Dominant Paradigm intervened.
Which, btw, you are doing very well as being a useful idiot for too.

As for AGW, China alone is bringing a new coal-fired power plant online every week, India is close behind. Should we just bomb them?

I, too, prefer legislators to be people with no life experience who believe gay people are caricatures from the 40's:

http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/idaho-gop-official-we-want-anti-bias-laws

Six cities in Idaho have ordinances in place that ban discrimination based on sexual orientation. Now, leaders in the Idaho Republican Party want them voided, the Spokesman-Review reported Monday.

The Idaho GOP passed a resolution asking the state legislature to make the local ordinances "unenforceable" if they seek to expand on state anti-bias law.

Cornel Rasor, chairman of the Idaho GOP’s resolutions committee and self-described "liberty person," said he would like to retain the legal option to dismiss or not employ gay people.

I’d hire a gay guy if I thought he was a good worker. But if he comes into work in a tutu … he’s not producing what I want in my office,” Rasor told the Spokesman-Review.

“If a guy has a particular predilection and keeps it to himself, that’s fine,” Rasor continued. “But if he wants to use my business as a platform for his lifestyle, why should I have to subsidize that?”

The "Tea Baggers" (vile name) you so disdain originally sprang up in opposition to the Wall St. bailouts.

Um I'm not so sure about that. The famous Santelli rant focused entirely on vilifying your neighbor and the notion that people who over extended themselves to jump on the property asset bandwagon deserved to go down in flames. Santelli and all his friends in the below video reveal themselves to be standard run of the mill Darwinian Wall Street ascholes by ignoring the fact that the whole shebang was willfully engineered by Wall St and the average joe was at worst a fool.

But that is exactly what appealed to the T Party stooges. Blame everything on the stupid, powerless and weak who were just following orders. Ignore the crimes of the Status Quo actors and profiteers of history. They are just another bunch of flag waving fox news watching morons.

You think I'm kidding? Look at the video. At about 2:10 Scantelli recommends putting his money into derivitives after 2 solid minutes of excoriating people with too many bathrooms.

As for China and coal fired power plants, I have an idea. How about the US and Canada resist the temptation to sell them coal? I've got another idea. How about the US refuse to buy Canada's Tar Sands oil?

Admittedly a very anti free trade idea but its a start.

more tea party favorites in the news...

he co-founder of the Minutemen vigilante border patrol group, also a former kindergarten teacher, was arrested in Phoenix for allegedly molesting three girls, Reuters reports:

Chris Simcox, 52, who co-founded the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps in 2005, was booked into a Maricopa County jail in connection with the molestation of three girls under the age of 10, said Sergeant Tommy Thompson, a Phoenix police spokesman.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/19/chris-simcox-minuteman-arrested_n_3469474.html?utm_hp_ref=politics

of course he has a history of this,

As the Southern Poverty Law Center reported, this won’t be the first time Simcox is accused of sexual misconduct with a minor. In 1998, his ex-wife Deobrah Crews accused Simcox of molesting his 14-year-old daughter that he fathered with Crews. Although no charges were filed, the daughter broke off all communication with her father.
