many sections went to far, of course that is your personal opinion and not a "fact'

ok Ron, maybe so

how about you telling me about the MANY sections you feel went to far, and also then what powers that YOU would have given our intelligence people to protect this country?

I got my copy right here, so lets hear what you say?

"Actually, Ron

I honestly think that you privately agree with almost all of the "left's" stands on things"

As RFK Jr so cogently put it: "Most conservatives are really just uneducated liberals".

Actually he was being generous - we all know that more than just being uneducated is involved.

The ability to absorb and assimilate education is what keeps most of them from being liberals - not just the lack of it.

Ron, don't get all upset!

If was YOU who make the statement that you disagree with, have a problem, with MANY things in the NDAA

I was not asking you to cite chapter and verse

I simply invited you to elaborate, to pick just a few, maybe five or so of all the many things you apparently don't want our intelligence people to be able to do.

again, I am not asking you to grab your copy of the bill that you know so very very well

just whip off the easy stuff off the top of your head, you have given this a lot of thought?

Whereas Norton and I, and anyone on this thread with any level of intellectual curiosity, can at least POST LINKS to the sources that back up our opinions...

Rong can't even be bothered to do that.

FAIL.

Does seem a little odd that political entities specifically chartered and purposed with the intent of tax revolt - even naming themselves after the most famous tax revolt in US history - would actually attract the attention of the enforcement agency dedicated to collecting taxes.

I mean, what possible reason could the tax collection enforcement agency have to apply scrutiny to such groups?

How can you Leftists betray our country so?

GEORGE WILL reads about Nixon/Obama: This is the 40th anniversary of the Watergate summer here in Washington. "He has through his subordinates and

agents endeavored to cause in violation of the constitutional rights of citizens, income tax audits or other income tax investigations to be

initiated or conducted in a discriminatory manner."
Section 1, Article 2, the Impeachment Articles of Richard Nixon.

What Baharhaha is trying to say is that Republigoons have been attempting to convince people something, anything , democrats have done is worse than Watergate for forty years now.

Watergate is a tough anti American crime to outdo though, Nixon has haunted the republican party since.

Comparing this to Watergate is laughable.

I'll never forget the 4 days after the Boston Marathon bombing, scrolling through the various wingnut web sites to see how they were covering it...

And by and large, they weren't. RedState.com, one of the more popular, and most strident wingnut sites out there...had NOT ONE ARTICLE about the worst terrorist attack in America since 9/11.
NOT ONE in the 4/5 days following the bombing. They were going on ad nauseum about immigration and Benghazi - anything but what was by far the hottest story of the year, that had potentially distinct (and, for them, potentially devastating) political overtones.

Let that sink in for a second.

Why the blackout? Because they were terrified it was one of their own. Everything pointed to right-wing terrorism - the timing, the location, the tactics...it REEKED of Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph.

So my question is...when THEY THEMSELVES so strongly suspected themselves of a terrorist act against taxes (in Boston, site of the Tea Party, on Patriot Day, and on Tax Day no less)...why would they express shock, or suggest scandal, when their own political party, that they named after a tax revolt, is subject to IRS scrutiny?

In other words, they believed themselves capable, and even culpable, of mass murder and mayhem as part of a tax revolt.

But their political party, and its members, that they named after a tax revolt, is somehow above suspicion of tax evasion?
