Obama does a lot of things wrong.

But Republicans are the ones with the addiction.

They are obsessed with the guy, even though there is nothing they can do to change the fact that he's president.

WTF do you think this Benghazi thing is all about?

Even if they could prove that Obama completely screwed it up, then what?

The whole Republican party has spiraled into goddamned contest to show who can hate him the most.

"To hell with policy and governing, we gotta make Obama look bad!"

Derell-Lic Issa is an ex-con

A fellow soldier, Jay Bergey, said that Issa stole his Dodge Charger in 1971, and that ""I confronted Issa. . .. . I got in his face and threatened to kill him, and magically my car reappeared the next day, abandoned on the turnpike." No charges were ever filed. Issa has denied any theft.[9]
After receiving a hardship discharge in 1972, because his father had a heart attack, Issa earned a General Educational Development (GED) certificate.[9] Twice that year, he was arrested. In the first incident he was indicted by a grand jury for an alleged theft of a Maserati, but prosecutors dropped the charge.[16] In the second incident, he was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way street, and a police officer noticed a firearm in his glove compartment. Issa was charged with carrying a concealed weapon; he pled guilty to a charge of possession of an unregistered firearm, and was sentenced to six months' probation and a small fine.[9][16] Issa has said he believes the record has since been expunged.[9]
Issa attended Siena Heights University, a small Catholic college in Adrian, Michigan, followed by Kent State University at Stark, where he enrolled in the Reserve Officer Training Corps and was commissioned as a second lieutenant.[9] Issa served in the Army Reserve from 1976 to 1980 and was promoted to the rank of captain. While serving on active duty for training with the 1/77th Armor Battalion as an Assistant S-1 from September 9 to September 26, 1980, he received an evaluation report by then-Lt. Col. Wesley Clark, who wrote "This officer's performance far exceeded that of any other reserve officer who has worked in the battalion" and "Promote ahead of contemporaries. Unlimited potential."[9][17][18] Shortly before his discharge, Issa was again indicted for grand theft auto, but Issa insisted he was innocent and by August, 1980, the prosecution dropped the case.[9]

The irony here is that Issa got his fortune by selling car alarms..

A good friend of mine used to be COO of Issa's car alarm company.

He told me that Issa would never stop at highway toll booths. He would just blow through them and then get a ticket in the mail. The tickets were a few hundred dollars, but Darrel was too important and too rich to stop and pay a buck. The company would just pay them off.

Now, of course, he's an upstanding citizen.

Sad to say, I think you're absolutely correct, Dave. (It's not sad that you're correct, it's sad to say that the Republicans are acting like fools).

If you want to know how someone can be re-elected when the unemployment rate remained so high, just watch what the Republican "strategists" have done. Instead of dealing with the real problems, they foment a hate campaign against the President. In my opinion, Romney's campaign gave non-Republicans no reason to vote for him, and the party seems hell-bent on continuing their addiction to distraction.

There are plenty of reasons to oppose the policies of Obama, Biden , Reid and Pelosi. Instead they waste their time trying to create cults of personal villification. Argh!
