Repuglicans are wrong about everything because..
A. They have nothing possitive to add to the discussion.
All they have are scandal mongering and negative bullsh#t.
B. The 10 dumbest states in the country by SAT score and precentage of citizens with college degrees are all red states.

Unlike the Democrats/liberals, who never resort to negative bullsh#t.

Anyone think this thread will pass 100,000 posts by the mid-terms?

I'm not sure about Obama being the most progressive/liberal President of all-time, but he's certainly shaping up to be the most inept, least engaged President in modern history.

"I didn't know" just doesn't cut it for The President of The United States of America.

A. two wrongs do not make a right.
B. Democrats constantly try to do possitive things like give us decent health care. yes they do usually screw it up but often that is as much a product of repuglicans fighting against the good that dems try to do as it is democrat incompetence.

If all the repugs can come up with to justify their negative vibe is that the dems do it too they are beyond pathetic.

Dude, get a grip. every president has pulled the I, didn't know line. not saying its acceptable just pointing out that you can't pin that one solely on Obama. He has pleanty of company including both Bushes and Reagan.

How much of the VA scandal and bengazi are direct results of budget cuts forced by Repuglicans......
Again you have nothing possitive to put on the table so all you can do is hope for a scandal.
Pathetic.

democrqats are incompetent.
Repugs are Evil.

I will take incompetent over Evil any day. Especially when the Evil is also incompetent.

I prefer to keep it simple:

Social policy is not science because counterfactuals cannot be disproven.
If they're politicians I don't trust em.
Liberty and security are a zero sum game, proceed with caution.

I'm not pinning it solely on Obama. But considering his signature issue has been healthcare, lack of knowledge on the Obamacare website and the VA problems indicate he's completely uninvolved.

So, either he's incompetent or indifferent.

I remember watching one of Scott McClellan's press briefings, where he repeatedly threw himself on a grenade, covering for his boss. This wasn't the press being too tough. It was McClellan trying to minimize Bush's messes. I thought "Wow! What a crappy job. Taking abuse and looking like a fool to protect your boss".

Fast forward to the present. Jay Carney receives the same level of McClellanesque abuse on a weekly basis.

It's the new normal.

Except Bush's messes involve duping America and dragging us into several unjustified wars, killing countless innocent people American and otherwise, and putting in place legislation that is still retarding our progress as a country (as in the overall health of the country, not the right now health of the bank accounts of the 1%) six years later. Obamas "messes" are at most political blunders (everyone is human) which the republicans try to exaggerate into BENGHAZI! , and THE VA SCANDAL! (both of which republicans are behind since the defunded embassies and defunded the VA, then turned around and blamed the financial problems on "liberal" administrative policy). I would SOOOOOOOO much rather have Jim Carneys job. At least he can probably sleep at night and look himself in the mirror...

This thread and its predecessors have already passed 100,000 posts. Amazingly, something profound can still show up on this thread, as shown in the quote above.

as predicted with all liberal policies, barrycare srews the poor:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/26/us/hospitals-look-to-health-law-cutting-charity.html?smid=tw-share&_r=0

oh, the irony...

here's the highlight:

"Driving the new policies is the cost of charity care, which is partly covered by government but remains a burden for many hospitals. The new law also reduces federal aid to hospitals that treat large numbers of poor and uninsured people, creating an additional pressure on some to restrict charity care."

yep, the law penalizes CHARITY and hospitals THAT TREAT LARGE NUMBERS OF POOR AND UNINSURED PEOPLE

"we need to pass the bill to find out what's in it" only we liberals don't care because all government is good government (except the military) and more government is better government and total government would be the best government

Problem is we've become a society that now values free stuff more than freedom.

Seriously, do you read the things you post. Following my intuition, I clicked your link. Sure enough, the VERY FIRST PARAGRAPH OF YOUR LINK STATES:

Hospital systems around the country have started scaling back financial assistance for lower- and middle-income people without health insurance, hoping to push them into signing up for coverage through the new online marketplaces created under the Affordable Care Act.

How else do you get people who already don't pay for health insurance to sign up for a new different health system in which they still wont have to pay anything for health insurance when they have all been mislead to think the new different free health insurance is The Original Sin?

As for liberty and security being a zero sum game, I absolutely agree. Folks such as myself were screaming this till our voices were hoarse immediately post-911, to no avail. Watching that all unfold was horrific. I'm not at all kidding. Then people voted the idiot back in for another term. It was like the whole country was on drugs.

You get the sense that the poster just doesn't have a clue what is involved in being President. Drinking from a firehose doesn't capture it. Drinking from 20 firehoses perhaps does.

And then, when you get politicians that actually give you an HONEST answer, you go all apeshit on them. What are you teaching them to do, and what are you teaching them that you want?
