You'd both be excellent candidates for running a Charm School, from where I sit. You're a bonded pair...of a sort.

You rarely see a junker El Camino without its attendant cement tire dog.

he has served his time and learned his lesson

Alabama Congressional hopeful Will Brooke literally shoots a copy of Obamacare in slow-mo and then says we should "replace it with a market based solution." I'm not sure how much more "market based" we can get without people taking out reverse mortgages on their vital organs.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/weigel/2014/04/01/meet_your_next_obamacare_victim_confused_arkansas_guy.html

Obamacare victim had his health insurance plan extended but is so confused that he agreed to be in a Koch Brothers ad.

Meanwhile, the actual budget wonks within the Republican party are making it clear that "replace Obamacare with a market based solution" actually means "massively cut domestic programs and dump the money into the military."

http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/04/01/us-usa-fiscal-repbulicans-idUSBREA3016G20140401

Representative Paul Ryan, the leading Republican voice on budget policy, rolled out a new fiscal blueprint on Tuesday that calls for deep cuts in domestic programs, increased defense spending and a goal of erasing annual deficits in 10 years.

Ryan's budget, called the "Path to Prosperity," has almost no chance of passing the Democratic-controlled Senate but is expected to serve as a campaign manifesto for Republicans in November's congressional elections.

It proposes to kill President Barack Obama's 2010 healthcare reforms and revives cuts in social programs such as the popular Medicare entitlement for the elderly that Ryan, who chairs the House Budget Committee, has proposed in other recent budgets.

The plan calls for savings of $5.1 trillion over a decade, with the goal of reaching a balanced budget by 2024 with no new tax revenues but increased defense spending.

It's a "path to prosperity" for some people, just not for average Americans.

"replace it with a market based solution."

I wonder how long it's going to take before public opinion comes to realize that what we have is a market based system.

Not the 'change' I was hoping for, but it's a helluva lot better than what we had, and lightyears different than anything the Repugs had to offer.

Over 47 million nonelderly Americans were uninsured in 2012.

How many are still uninsured?

I'm guessing it's around 40 million.

Nice work, Mr. President.

I'm more concerned about the 40 million Americans who are still uninsured.
