I'm pro choice, pro gay marriage and basically pro keeping God and intolerance out of politics.

I have an Afro American GF, and really, just want my guns, tax breaks and a strong military, and less not more government in my life. I believe that in this country you have to get an education and work hard to make it.

I am everything you are above except the black GF

and for those exact reasons i am a liberal, and by your definition, so are you

Find out about congressional voting with this How to guide.

You can access legislative information, by bill number or key words, from the THOMAS Web site. Information from the present back to the 93rd Congress (1973) is available on THOMAS.

The evidence is clear and still some want to say there is no difference between the partys.

It is beyond shameless that we repeatedly allow the drum beats of profiteering war mongers to whip up a patriotic flag waving froth that send boys and girls off to die in wars of choice. It is even worse that when these battered beings return to the land they served they are too often discarded like played out bubble gum. We are better than this.

But then racism is a core "progressive" value going all the way back to it's Democrat party roots.

(as exemplified by the quotes of a whole litany of "progressive" icons)

Which progressive icons were racist TGT?

I think you are mixing up the terms progressive with "Conservative Democrat pre 1965"
None of those people were progressives or liberals, fact.

Those would be Republicans now, right?
Or do you prefer denialism to suit your beliefs?

It's in no way liberal or progressive. They have a cold blooded hard core right wing killer as their President.

The truth is that it's a right wing controlled quazi Democracy.

well, libs, look at it this way: hillary was wrong about barry; it turns out it doesn't really matter whether the call comes at 3 am or 3 pm; whether he needs to catch a flight to vegas for a fundraiser (the former) or get to happy hour (the latter)

of course, who needs the lessons of history when we've got hopenchange?

"Unfortunately, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not received the memo on 21st-century behavior. Neither has Chinaís president, Xi Jinping, who is engaging in gunboat diplomacy against Japan and the weaker nations of Southeast Asia. Syrian president Bashar al-Assad is waging a very 20th-century war against his own people, sending helicopters to drop exploding barrels full of screws, nails and other shrapnel onto apartment buildings where families cower in basements. These men will not be deterred by the disapproval of their peers, the weight of world opinion or even disinvestment by Silicon Valley companies. They are concerned primarily with maintaining their holds on power."

Good stuff, Bookworm.

IMO Bush overstepped with our military. Significantly. History will portray his actions as ill-considered blunders.

Similarly, history will give President Obama's foreign policy low marks, but on the opposite end of the spectrum. While Bush was too gung-ho, Obama will be portrayed as a weak, irresolute Commander in Chief.
