Allright Frood,, what do YOU think of the NDAA 2013-- sound like a good idea?

Sound like that is needed at all considering the original patriot act?

Or do you see it as yet more tearing up of the constitution by our government and a furthering of the thirst of executive powers by our presidents?

edit: im e mail chatting with my buddy in Iran right now.

Obama Drops Veto Threat Over Military Authorization Bill After Revisions

Rong - you're an ignorant, delusional fool who can't even do google searches.

Why the idiocy? Why the pre-adolescent level of denial of reality?

What's the point?

I've stated my views on these matters before:

That said, the hysteria coming from the JBS and others on the fringe of the right is absurd.

Authorization Act of 2012 passed by the House and the Senate, arguing that provisions would open the door for the military to perform policing functions inside the United States, and that they would infringe on executive branch powers.

from the above ref. article^^^^^^^^^^

MY POINT EXACTLY.. My LOCAL LEOS are stiffled to do anything about a thousand known gang homies here due to the FEDS and the policies put in place by Obama. So then,, they will use military to control a protest? thats already happened ya know,, FOUR dead in O_H_I_O...

Ive asked my local LEOs why we have such a population of known gang memebers and they dont round them up and ship them back to whence they came.
I get "policies" for the answer. So my local LEOs hands are tied. Everyone in Carson knows this. This is the single biggest threat in Carson city now. Yet the feds have done nothing but put a blanket protection policy over them, while designing laws so that citizenry can be tried under military rule. If they wanted to put the military to work,, wouldnt the logical place be the violent borders we now have?

right wing mormons, JBS, Glen Beck - all closely linked - in fact the JBS is what sucked Beck's mind out of his ear..

Ron, you can't read english.

The article says Obama is against using the military in the US.

He threatened to veto an earlier version because it was unclear about whether the military could be used in the US.

jeeess Mono,, of COURSE he would say that...What else WOULD he say.?

and try "dream acts" ,, amnesty proposals and the rest of the policies now going on.. There are too many to list. Why would an ICE agent be chastised for actually enforcing our immigration laws in arresting a man whom had been here for years illegally and starting to deport him? That happened this last year..

It's amusing to see the mainstream media putting its full court press on Republicans to raise taxes, but almost no pressure on anyone to reduce spending. Frankly, neither course of action (cutting spending or raising taxes) makes much sense in a fragile economy, but the MSM's ignorance of economics -- and phenomenal disillusion with the mechanism of real negotiations -- continues to shine forth.

The "grand bargain" was supposed to be real entitlement reform for real tax reform, including a higher effective rate on higher incomes. The pressure for the tax increase remains, but many Democratic senators are now saying there should be no entitlement reform, although they are strangely silent on what happens when those programs run out of money.

Even some of the centrist Democrats, such as Max Baucus, insist, rightly in my opinion, that rational reform of Medicare and Medicaid cannot take place in three weeks. Of course, neither can rational tax reform.

In the current situation, I don't see how any sane Republican (or any sane legislator, for that matter) could agree to any change in taxes now. Without the changes in taxes, I don't see how any sane Democrat (or sane legislator, for that matter) could agree to any change in spending now.

For these reasons, I propose that instead of pushing for an immediate "grand bargain" whose timing and, most likely, terms will be wrong, both parties agree to maintain the status quo for six months while the new congress and President Obama negotiate a real deal.

What do you think?

LOL Ron, and the current version that he supports makes it clear that the military can't be used domestically against it's citizens.

Let's face it Ron, your reading comprehension is very weak.

But thanks for the laughs.

The UN= Unilaterally nuthin...

The UN= a large black hole in which to dump MASSIVE amounts of monies, borrowed from someone else..

Washington had put to rest the treaty pre election,, and now,,, back on the table. funny that ...

Ain't gonna happen but nice try...Obama is going to squash the balls of these republitard idiots..

But since we are dreaming..

I would go with increasing the taxs on upper income earners by 10 percent.
Dramatically increasing corporate taxes to ranges where they were in the 50s
Bust up large media companies and corporations via anti-trust laws
Tax all off shore money at an even higher rate
Prosecute all enemies of man. For example convict and throw all bankers and Wall street thiefs and psychopaths, who have been found to show negligence with the life savings and work of the common man, in jail. It would be hillarious cause many already think.they got away with it...
Get rid of all the bullshit loop holes.
Slap tarrifs on goods coming into America to balance the slave labor being used in poor countries with no human rights.
Cut entitlements and government waste dramatically - including Medicaid, welfare, disability, and a bunch of other pork.
Slash the bloated defence budget and pull bases out of places where they don't belong.
Invest aggressively on the future including our own country and infrastructure that is failing as well as alternative energy on all levels. There is so much that can done here - for example every house in america actually dumping energy onto the grid through solar and wind. Of course this will not happen because it will affect multinational corporate profits.
Teach hard sciences including evolution and laugh in the face of any imbecile who wants to teach creation in schools.
Laugh in the face of any fat white man who wants to tell a woman what to do with their body.
Stop worrying about growth and recession - we have had enough growth and consumption already to last 10 generations.
Make the cuts, make the changes, spend where needed and tell people to suck it up and deal and stop whining about every damn thing - life can be hard - work hard or f*#k off and die already. Let natural selection and human ingenuity pave the way to a more modern economy.
Help people understand that large corporate mulitnational entities are the enemy of all mankind.
Support local growth of small business and a diversity of choices in the community.
Take the profit incentives out of health care...health care does not work if it is for profit - all ya do is get more expensive health care and sicker people.
