The collapse of 2008 was caused mostly by private and corporate debt, Einstein. Remember the housing bubble, the bankrupt financial institutions? Or do you just regurgitate ignorant liberal talking points?

...insults.... changing the subject.... insults....

I'm waiting to hear your brilliant thesis on how the collapse of 2008 was caused by Government debt.

Please, elaborate instead of trying to make childish insults. This could be interesting to economists everywhere.

No wonder you like Obama so much. He is also good at changing the subject when someone points to his ignorance on the economy (i.e. Romney's taxes, etc.)

"In 1980, when Ronald Reagan was elected, the GDP was $2.79 trillion, and the debt was 32.6% of GDP.

In the last full year of Ronald Regan’s tenure in 1988, GDP was $5.1 trillion, and the debt was 51% of GDP."

Still waiting for your explanation.

In the future, when you try to make a point, remember to have real FACTS instead of hollow Obama talking points. Remember, he can get away with that crap because the media likes him. You, not so much.

Here is Mitt Romney in 2008 urging Congress to pass a STIMULIS as soon as possible.

Better pick another reason to vote for Romney as he strongly favors "Keynesism"

In 2008 when the economy fell off the cliff in the months after the presidential election, Mitt Romney thought something had to be done ASAP. Even though we had a lame duck president, George W. Bush, and a lame duck Congress, Mitt Romney thought our economic situation was so dire that we needed action from Washington.

On December 19th, 2008, in an op-ed for The National Review, he wrote, "What is Washington waiting for? The inauguration is less than five weeks away: At the rate we've been going, another 500,000 jobs will be lost by then... Congress and the president must act now."

Romney closed his piece with this dramatic order for Congress, especially Republicans in Congress. "The Democrats may want to wait for Obama, but the country needs action now. Republicans can — and must — play an important role in shaping a stimulus bill that makes sense for America and lays a foundation for future prosperity and growth."http://thelastword.msnbc.com/_news/2012/06/07/12106634-mitt-romney-and-his-push-for-2008-stimulus?lite

"In Democrat-world, pre-tax income increased 2.64 percent annually for the poor and lower-middle-class and 2.12 percent annually for the upper-middle-class and rich. There was no Great Divergence. Instead, the Great Compression—the egalitarian income trend that prevailed through the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s—continued to the present, albeit with incomes converging less rapidly than before. In Republican-world, meanwhile, pre-tax income increased 0.43 percent annually for the poor and lower-middle-class and 1.90 percent for the upper-middle-class and rich. Not only did the Great Divergence occur; it was more greatly divergent. Also of note: In Democrat-world pre-tax income increased faster than in the real world not just for the 20th percentile but also for the 40th, 60th, and 80th. We were all richer and more equal! But in Republican-world, pre-tax income increased slower than in the real world not just for the 20th percentile but also for the 40th, 60th, and 80th. We were all poorer and less equal! Democrats also produced marginally faster income growth than Republicans at the 95th percentile, but the difference wasn't statistically significant".

crackaddict - You make no sense dude - you are a typical republican..
You post lies and when called on it you ignore it.
It's not my job to constantly back track and try to explain where your logic is circular. Or when you misunderstand or create a straw man concerning something I don't even mean.

Do you purposely misunderstand what is being discussed?
Or do you honestly believe what you write?
