Ron stated clearly and with authority:

obamacare EXCLUDES smokers from coverage via pre-exisitng conditions. But they will cover promiscuous sex?

god damn it

PROVE IT

cite the provision and page number of the 2700 page bill that states that the ACA specifically excludes smoking from coverage via pre-existing conditions

I am not going to put up with your ignorant, impulsive, make up crap any more

I have read the ACA twice now, I know what is and what isn't in it

I presume you are as knowledgable about the ACA as I am, or you would not be so god damn sure of yourself what it says

PROVE WHAT YOU STATED

Obama care actually pays for a smoking cessation program.

How in the hell can one person (Ron) be wrong about so many things?

Norton, you should know that the FULL effect of the exclusionary subject wont take place until the end of 2014.

I'm reasonably certain that Norton knew that Ron.

Some of us with pre existing conditions were looking forward to that. Though likely it will get overturned and we will remain in the shitter.

Oh well.. time to turn to crime.

Im right there with ya John, but it has to be the right something at the right time as i see it..

This aticle digs deeper into the pre existing issue.

Reading the PPACA istelf only gets you two thirds through the surrounding issues.

so YES,, Norton IS correct in saying the ACA doesnt say that, but im correct in the reality that it doesnt say it doesnt UNTIL 2014 and under doubt even then.

Ken M writes:

"...faced with the REQUIREMENT TO PAY TAXES, would you rather

1. pay $1/year so that women can get birth control if they want it, or

2. pay $100/year to pay for the public expenses of the babies?"

If that were to work, it'd be a no-brainer. But when actually applied, the theory fails.

Where I live, government provided birth control services haven't prevented the reproducing poor from becoming a continual burden on the taxpayers.

Here, in San Bernardino County, all manner of birth control services are available free for the asking at the County Health Department.

Any woman in San Bernardino County ( and all the guys too ) can get birth control if they want it.

And yet, San Bernardino is one of America's most legendary shitholes. San Bernardino - despite free birth control for anyone who wants it - scores high in rates of welfare, food stamp participation, illegitimacy, violent crime, incarceration, residents on parole, and former residents now occupying Death Row.

Open eyes is all it takes Chaz.

Ive heard many times in this forum the outcry of what the govt did to the Native Americans, herding them into reservations and making them dependent upon the govt tit. To a large degree i totally agree with. Yet the american populous in general is shifting to this very syndrome. reservations being replaced by city slums and tracts of low income housing so prevalent here now. And the more we've rewarded that the more we've paid for it all.

In fact with the flood of poor from Mexico, many a low income clinic is now refusing new patients just like the one in Carson.

Chaz.. no one said that providing birth control would fix everything. We just believe that it reduces the number of unwanted pregnancies. Pregnancies that contribute to the above stated problem.

so YES,, Norton IS correct in saying the ACA doesnt say that, but im correct in the reality that it doesnt say it doesnt UNTIL 2014 and under doubt even then.

So far you have proved yourself wrong

Now again, cite the language in the ACA that deals with
covering or even not covering smoking as a pre existing condition
any damn time, be it right now or as you now claim
after 2014.

No bullshit to try to cover your ass

Again, show the language in the ACA that proves
your new above quoted supposed statement as fact

Uhhmmm Norton the quote you pasted SAYS it DOESNT SAY that.

To THAT POINT your correct. Reality NOW, says if i want to buy a policy , and im a smoker, and i have issues already,, that WILL BE cause for exclusion from several coverage's UNLESS i can afford to pay rates that make MOB extortion look like kiddy play. MMMk?

as far as the 2014 notation, that IS correct.

Public and private insurers will be required to change their own policies to comply with the prohibition against denying coverage based on pre-existing conditions. This prohibition will apply to children as of 2010, and adults as of 2014. Federal and state public officials will ensure that insurers meet these requirements

crystal ball failure,, isle three,, clean up on isle three.!

Romney is talking about a rapid recovery rather than the 'Status Quo' that we're faced with right now.

I, for one, would much rather see a slow steady burn than a hot and fast fire that doesn't last.

What is Romney challenging us with?

What's his economic plan? How will he promote growth in a sustainable way? So far, I'm not seeing anything.

Brandon, Romney is no Kennedy.. Ive no delusions of that.. What i do know is the current job hasnt been done well. The crappy attempts by the admin to shuffle and hide facts while distributing blame over libya were all predicted and now the facts begin to trickle out. How did so many figure it out the NEXT day? Because weve seen it all before. Nixon, Johnson, Bush and yeah Obama.

keep trying, you are once again flat wrong

why now?

because right NOW, as you put it, you CAN be DENIED health insurance because you are a smoker, and it does NOT matter if are willing to pay a higher monthly premium

Do you get that now, Ron?

Repeat: You CAN be denied a policy NOW, it's totally up to the private, for maximum profit health insurers that you want to "protect" from doing this to YOU when you flat
make up stuff about what exactly is and not is, in "Obamacare".

AND, when the pre existing coverage part of the ACA goes into effect in 2014, then
you CANNOT be denied coverage. Period. Um, that would be a gud thing, right?

Now, you might CHOOSE to not pay a higher premium they quote because you are a smoker, but you can NO LONGER be denied coverage, like you CAN BE NOW.

Get the facts, the truth, straight BEFORE you wildly say stuff, like you said.

You have every right to not "like" the very law that will benefit you personally, but you
do not have the right to throw out your opinions as if they were verified truthful facts, when in reality, the underlying facts behind your "opinion" of the ACA is WRONG.
