Would never poach, but a bottle of GUD red on the patio watching the trout rise would be cool. Love skiing or snowshoeing the Upper in the winter, when not a soul is around. Nymphing deep pools is the way to go.

Supposed to get pretty windy today - I've heard 80+ mph in the "mountains" from radio reports.

I wonder what we'll see out on the eastside this evening...

There was a windstorm a year or two ago around the Olancha area that was flipping semi trucks and ripping trailer-park home roofs off... Sh!t can get wild out here!

Is snow predicted for you guys? I would imagine with those temps it's probable.

Yesterday, riding the town bike, actually had to walk it briefly while going into the wind.

Here in Kodiak, on the eastside of the Aleutian chain, I've been pinned down with weather for 5 days. Our chopper can't fly, our Pisten Bully and snowmachines can't make it the 14 miles to the emergency repair we have to do on the dam, so we're just hanging out.

Can't believe it has been so dry. Mid december, and I have a choice to go to Lundy/Parker canyons!

Thanks for the info Dean. I had no idea that June made snow so that is good news. Wanting so badly for decent conditions, this ski trip will be the first time ski experience for my daughter's boyfriend along with the fact that its been five years since skiing with my daughter!

Maddening, it is snowing like crazy down here but I refuse to ski locally, too many psycho snowboarders-gaper types-dangerous!
