There were 3 lines led (1 by me) on Chouinard falls. Protection was good. Left side was very thin and not formed for the most part. Bottom part of the main wall was not thick enough to be climbed (by me at least). Approach was not as bad as I thought it would be. Not a snow trail, but doable for those who want to play on some early ice. Took us about 45 mins or so without hauling ass.
I just showed these pictures to my best climbing friend of all time ever for 49 years and 8 months+ and after we open-mouth-kissed for like 4 minutes straight these were the first things he said
"dude, you should try flossing. You have a dead-rat flavor coming from that beautiful east-side pie hole"
and
"I'd never lulzy-fi with theses NOOVBS on that THIn ice dawg! LoLOL yur gunna die!!!!! FA rap bolt"

Weather beginning to move in here....finally getting dark in the sky.
Currently 39F with gusty winds. Local forecasts are calling for 3 to 6 feet of snow in the higher elevations by Monday morning. I suspect the town of Mammoth Lakes will see at least 3 feet.

I'm driving to the bay right now, thanks for convincing me to go around.
I hate going that way, but on a day like today, it will be faster.

Sorry I missed you the other day...you should have banged on my window. I saw you there, but was on the phone and had to run back to the house.

10b4me....I'd be happy to do that.....but with all this snow, the ice will be buried.
I just finished my second lap of all my accounts...ended up in the loader for 10 hours.....good day! Picked up an extra C note for hauling a woman's car back onto the road....and she was gorgeous to boot!!! :)
Quite an amazing storm......finally backed off a few hours ago....until the next round. All in, nearly two feet today.

Tell us about your skiing adventures on Mammoth, Dean.
I think me and my dad have to settle for Killington, VT this winter. No airplane nor car rental required - we can drive.
I have your books. I had hoped to bring them to you in person. Geez.

Pete, most of my skiing adventures on Mammoth Mountain are in the dark, in a white out, out of bounds, navigating by compass and GPS, looking for lost skiers and snowboarders.....and these stories are nearly too numerous to count.
I'll send you my mailing address for the books...thanks.
