Still OK in Bishop.Just spoke with my buddy workin' in the Village and he says it's so bad there that direct TV is down and they can't even watch football.Dead calm in Bishop with a little sun even.Did lose a couple shingles due to wind on friday night though.Guess I better get out before it hits.Good luck and be safe all.

Anyone care to comment on bc ski conditions on the east side?
I've got a handful of days off and plan to head south. Am wondering if I should take ski + climbing gear or not.

Sounds like many roads are still open. How high do you have to hike to reach snow?

mucho gracias

Chinchen, you gotta ski.

You are so close (biking/skiing distance even) to some of best backcountry skiing terrain anywhere, depending on conditions..

Lee Vining has climbable ice.....however, the approach is still less than desirable.

Hey Jeff....Flanders went on a ramble up Carson Peak yesterday, trying to get in some better shape. He's doing ok....

Here's a shot of last night's sunset over June Lake. Enjoy!
