Glad we were up Bishop Creek Canyon last weekend to see the aspens - this probably is the end of those (at 9000 ft. anyway). Was thinking the color was earlier than last year too. This snow as well!

Just clearing up now down here in L.A. Maybe we'll have an early season Santa Ana this weekend, then it'll feel like Fall.

Is "WX conditions" some sort of cross-country skier jargon for "what wax should I use?". If so, I suggest purple klister.

try blue/green mixed in a pot over a Svea. Applied with a brush. Carry a can of purple and a tube of silver just in case.

It wouldn't be beyond Mammoth Mountain to take advantage of a storm like this, to get press for the earliest ski area opening.
