They all lived in the desert, there was no water there, no TV, just a bunch of rocks and sand. They came from near and far to squeeze the life outa this god forsaken place.

Sane folks, still scratch their heads in wonderment why these people did this. Materialism failed.

Send it onwards ........

c'est moi, circa 1956, sportin' a wig purloined at a Morongo Valley thrift store.
The ensemble included a darling pair of earings, which I lost to Mike Paul, after I wagered he couldn't do StemGem, backwards, blindfolded...

AND, don't miss my Bloggish thread "Deep Space Time Machine from the Mussy Nebula", for the inside beat on the foolishly zany minds of DR Russel Walling & Cohorts. . .

I've got some new Stem Gem shots.....Not the same. I know, I know. I can't wait till end o March. I am going to tour my friend right over to campsite 23, and if he can send that pup, I am then going to tell him that the big boys did it backwards. I only WISH I had known this last trip, when I was shooting pictures of 4-5 guys working that baby.

By the way - these old photo threads are just incredible. I really do enjoy reading the stories and seeing the pictures.

Typical day at Josh would start with some coffee up on top of Intersection Rock:

Then some of what Bachar calls bouldering:

Then maybe some real bouldering at Turtle Rock:

Then finish the day off by doing the Gunsmoke until you throw up:

Hey Mussy, let's see a shot or rather, partial shot of that Giant Ass eh?

I once had a beauty you sent(in a classified, secured pouch), on Polaroid, Titled Plummers butt or something- 'was from a hang board routine. 'Just tossed it a while back, 'cuz I was sooo offended every time I sorted my old pics.

Butt, now, I recant, repent, even pine the loss of such irreverent hooey and its most relevent potential use, at this time...
