hey there say, now, john, in case i missed something, and you alread HAVE one of these, then: ooopsss, :)

but if not... well, then:

johntp.... oh my!... okay, now... well:

take a deep breath, and relax and soak it in, very softly and enjoy it...

it HAPPENS here at supertopo that we get these THINGS called:

APPRECIATION THREADS... :))

YEP...

yep, and you've been here long enough to have seen them, and so now,
well, it's just YOUR turn, is all... :)

okay, here goes:

ol' johntp... well, he has stepped in to help folks in need..
and many of you have seen this in the past...

and now, as of recent with pat, and philo...

also, too, during some hard times of finance, due to moving and using every bit to make this place presentable in what are small ways to other, but were hard for me, he HELPED my dreamcatcher business and i was able to
do these things...

god bless to all our supertopo heroes here, that climbed through life,
and their hard times, to move out into the meadows and
help others keep on climing, forward...

thanks john...
and many god blesses, to keep your path heading strong and well, as you keep checking on it, and for more future meadows of stable good times, along the climbs of life...

John has helped my family and I out in a time when we were really struggling. He basically threw us the life preserver when we were sinking. I appreciate his kindness and caring more than I can ever say. Not only has he helped our family out, but he has been an example for me to help out others when and however I can. Our situation is much much better now, thanks to lots of help from all our friends and family and "family"....John has taught us by example what to do in life;.....It's a big deal: John is someone who knows what to do and how to do it.

hey there say, johntp...

well, we'll just have to get ol' skully HIS appreciation thread too,
*he, well, uh... :) he DOES have one, though it is more like a
"wow, glad you are okay" type thread... and someone named mike?
started, it... :)

T R skully trips??
(something like that??)
as, i just checked, :)

but he needs a REAL "named" one, :)

note to skully, as the johntp appreciation thread drifts just a tad:

SKULLY! you ARE appreciated...
yep, saw all that excitement on tami's picture thread, :))

and sure as shooting at a good bull's-eye, we'll be right on the job to make sure you get a really neat one, too, we'll surprise you...

well, unless you ARE READING note now, :))

:)

after all, as to appreciation, you always make me smile here, when i see you on line and i say hey there to you, :)

see, you just did it again...

An oversight not to have had this before. Good call Neebee. JohnTP is a gem on supertopo. He was my secret Santa a couple of years ago and that still makes me smile. Since then, he's been a good friend and someone I think of often.

hey there say, all.... thank you johntp!!!

had an extra surprise for the holiday gift collection, :)

just before the secret santa gift came from a country far-off...
(will go post that secret santa gift, now, as, the girls were here,
so we did open it)...

well--back to the surprise...

i really love the smell of PINE , but this year i had a free artificial tree (actually have NOT had a tree for long time, as, no room!), and not had pine smell, either--well, i have room now, :)

now this year, i ALSO a thrift store tree, too, for ten bucks, so
i am having a double-dose tree day, as the kids basement has one too:

but all fake and no PINE SMELL, but still lovely, warm, and cheery... :))

now, i was hoping to get out to the woods for branches but never did...

HOWEVER..... :O
this "surprise" came in the mail, and i had no idea from where, but it sure
beautified our home here!!

PINE BRANCHES!!!

and with a neat candle-center-piece...
well, it was ALL
a center-piece, actually,:)...

then, after hunting around the box, we found the order list and sent out a
thank-you email to the sender...

and--posted a HINT to the sender, as to more thank-you!! notes...
*seems he is a tad shy, so i was not sure if i should post more at the
secret santa (where this seemed to belong)...

but i got to thinking--there IS A REASON that "substenace, fruits, flowers, seeds, etc" fall from trees:

it is to FILL the soul, humble the heart, which in turn, thus encourages the blessed one to share, and PASS IT ONE...

YEP:
sharing good deeds, and sharing help to others, is MEANT to be a light
in the world and a ray of hope... the good book says:
NOT to hide your light under a bushel/basket, but to let it shine...
*course, one need not boast that one is shining, :))

but for US all that DO get blessed, it sure is wonderful to share,
and--who knows:

perhaps someone ELSE here, will be inspired to help someone in their neighborhood, apt building, or family, or even to HELP SOMEONE that is
in the hospital... or to help older folks that may just be on their
last leg of their journey, :(

so this is a APPRECIATION note again to ol'
johntp!

thank you for this very kind holiday gesture...
:)

it sparkled up our day!!!

may it sparkle up the ol' supertopo, too!!!

god bless to you all, and happy christmas time, and new year...

hey there say, all....

some one here asked if perhaps i could do a project for
something--hush hush, you know, :))
they POINTED out a neat 'route' to tackle... :))

well, in the midst of this project or uh,
'climb' and i came to a crucial point where i needed
one more helper along this route here...

it is a surprise-secret project kind of route, and hopefuly
when it is done, the view will be nice for all, however,
the view may be seen in different ways by all, so that will
be in the eye of each beholder...

well, you know how it is after a climb:
there are different views from the reached top...

well, thanks so very kindly for johntp...
he stepped up to bat, so this can be a better home-run than
i may have hoped for...

thank you so very much john, for being on the
supertopo team here, in the quest to share neat stuff
with climber, neat climbs, neat friendships to all ...

god bless you!!!!

*can't share what the help was, as THAT would give
away the other's ROUTE and it is not time yet,

:))

hey there say, crimie and you guys...

i just knewwwwwwwwwwww there was some more folks out there
that would want to see this...

:)

really, every time we help someone in life, here, it is like helping
another folks climb through a situation that would be a bit of a
'boxed in canyon' if not...

*we all know when we need to help our self, first... but when all is
resourced out, as to tools, neccessities, or even knowledge, it is sure
good to have a climber buddy around... even if you DON'T really climb more than a neat hill, a neat tree, a neat set of scramble rocks, a scary ladder, or the stairs--or climb onto a high stool,to type on the supertopo-net.... :)

have a great week out there john, or actually soon to be weekend...

and for us that have been helped, we can pass-on kindnesses of our own, to those nearby or to our climber buddies there... or to someone that is sick somewhere and could use a "we are thinking about you" please get well soon!

:)

Good call, Neebee!

johntp is pretty quiet, and so it can be easy to miss his words amongst the loud and abrasive ones that dominate at times. But he is a steady, solid, presence here, and it seems I am not the only one who has been thrown a lifesaver by him when I was sinking.

hey there, say, all...

with the newyear soon approaching...
just wanted to share...

thanks so very kindly, for you, here a'camping...
and all you do, as to climber care...

sometimes it gets tricky, putting yourself out to help...
but with experience in knowing when, it easees hard trails, for those 'in yelp'...

thank you for all you do...
the world shoud concentrate more on raising new crops of 'who'...

the 'who's that care to say--"i'm okay right now, but how about you?"

thank you johntp..j
a lot of us are able to function, in a much higher gear, as to things
we do, want to do, or things just to share here, for others...

it's been near a hard 'recovery trail' for me to get to where i am, now...
and god's grace and the cheering-on of others, and the patience of those
that may not understand, HAVE gotten me this far...

i know this is true for others that you've helped, as well,
though they each have their own stories-of-the-trail...

THANK YOU and may god give you a trail just right for your needs,
and a healthy challenge, and safe-god-speed, and new
wonderful joys, along the way, for this new year!!!!!!

keep aiming for that finish line, that we all cherish in our older age:
looking BACK and seeing a well-forged trail, and good seeds, left
for others... and a 'well done' from god above... :)

Yes he deserves a bump and a round (of applause or drinks, whichever!)

When I was selling chalkbags for gas money to come west, he ordered two for others and went even further. And he kept in touch with me while I was on the road, assuring me I was not alone if I found myself in a car jam(not a traffic jam, the other kind - you know, when you aren't sure if it's electrical or fuel-related...).

A good one, that JohnTP, and I DID get to meet him at Todd's last year.

well, here it is... FROM two different years, too...
SOME TREES, large pine, just fell over in the huge winds, the other day, and

'refreshing' reRUN time, now, :)

here is the first one:

here is from the NEXTest after, or after, year, which was this year...

and, THIS as well, my photo, will be added on to the 'gift' theme:

as, being that the wonderful PAINTS will soon, this summer, PAINT this photo of my dear daddy, now passed-on, and of my
mommy, and--will give her a copy...

will then be--a 'keep on giving' gift to me, for the later years, when some day she will be gone, too...

thank you so very kindly and very much, johntp...

just for being you and being here...
and keep the taco special, as being a quilt...

I would like to add myself to the list of appreciators although I think the word falls short of the mark.

I have made some unfortunate choices in my life and I find myself kind of stuck in a situation of my own creating, a vicious circle of no work, chronic and acute injuries when work is available and finally my vehicle took a crap when the previous two issues were at last under control at the same time. Unless I want to work flipping burgers down the street I absolutely have to have reliable transportation with some cargo carrying capability.

I was lurking ST one day and clicked on Brandon's thread about the best vehicle for 3000$ dollars. Elcap in your azz started things off with his offer of a free car in exchange for some work on his property. Then later in the thread Johntp came in with a similar offer except going a step further and wanting nothing in return(no offense to ECYA, your offer was very generous).

Unfortunately Brandon is too far away to take advantage of either of the offers so I contacted John, whom I have never met and got the ball rolling to do the deal. Truthfully I am a cynical skeptic with little faith in my fellow man due to my personal experiences but John has given me cause to rethink my outlook. He even offered to fly me to him or drive the vehicle to me and fly home himself. I was blown away to say the least.

Long story short within a week and a half with a lot of effort and hassle on John's part dealing with California bureaucracy to transfer title out of state I drove home to Arizona yesterday with a great running, well maintained 2002 Toyota Highlander.

The thing really runs great and was the break I needed to start getting my sh#t together and get myself out of this booby trap of my own design. This is without a doubt the kindest most selfless act anyone has ever done for me.

So I want to thank you, John, formally and publicly and I also hope to tie in together one day soon. I promise to pay your good deed forward however I can.

hey there say, overwatch... wow, this is a life-story that keeps on giving... gives hope to you... gives life to john... gives life to us, just hearing about it...

gives hope an open door to you to get things in order... sadly in these days without a good running car, we are very limited to keep ourselves flowing in the very ways we need for even daily functions, at times...

hang in there... you are 'back in the race' and the goal is taking good care of yourself--and, you can do it... you have a fresh new trail and desire will grow and continue to, from 'interaction in human kindness'...

:)

johntp did a great act of human kindness that gave me back a huge part of my life that missing--the opportunity to give OUT to folks with my life, when my life is pretty-much in neutral...

these grateful feelings of someone caring, have kept me going for years now...

:)

and THAT is what we need:

to see the climb...
see the new route we just could not approach...
get the needed nudge and tools...
and then, it's UP to us, newly encouraged, to CLIMB!
later, we can do the same for other climbers-of-life,
no MATTER how small or tiny, our ways may be...

the views will stay with us, all our lives...
and all from ONE climber of life, that DARED to open a new route...

thank you johntp! for what you do, and more simply, for
just BEING you, in this world...
