Ebbetts Pass is the red-headed step child of climbing. Not as good as 88 or 108 but still some nice stuff, protected from crowds by it obscurity. Between Arnold and the top of pass there are at least 150 routes. There is a crag every 10 miles or so; bouldering everywhere, just explore. Fifty routes or so are mine and moderates because I am a moderate climber. They are all short a half pitch or so and .6-easy .11. Depending on where you are staying and what you what you want to climb I could point you in the right direction. The Stan, the Scrotum, School Wall, box Canyon, etc...all have climbing. Arnold area might be kind of hot now but up near Bear the weather has been great. Face, slab, sport, trad, OW whatever is up there. Best of all you rarely run into other climbers very quiet area, too quiet for most people. That is not including any of the back country stuff. Other replies all have good information. Most of the topos are mine and a bit out of date.

Bring your mountain bike the trails are in great shape, the snow finally melted and we cleaned them them up a couple of weeks ago. Still some skiing up high too.

PM if you need more exact information.

Cheers Jeff.

Just got back from a long hard day of biking and finished part of a newish trail. Photos look very nice.

Just moved to Arnold and am looking for climbing partners for Highway 4, Highway 108 and trips to Tahoe and Yosemite. I prefer sport climbing but would like to do more trad. I climb in the 5.11+ 12- range for sport, and have followed trad up to 5.11, but am up for any type of climbing!
