Certain Rush charts just make me think of climbing in the Gunks.

'Spirit of the Radio'
'YYZ' aka, Toronto International Airport
'Closer to the Heart'
'Tom Sawyer'

Same except climbing on Fairview

Hemisphere
Farewell to Kings

There is probably more that I can't remember. One thing I do remember is, in my opinion the greatest lyric ever penned:

If You choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

New album and tour starting soon.

The new album harkens back to classic Rush lyrics of fantasy story lines. This is about a fictional steampunk world. It's going to be novelized by one of Neil Peart's friends.

I don't think they'll ever capture the magic of the Farewell to Kings to Moving Pictures era, but this album and this song in particular harkens back to that sound somewhat and is their best effort since then IMO.

Been on a Rush resurgence of late...I was a YUGE Rushkie in HS, especially the 2112 - Moving Pictures phases. Hemispheres remains an all-time, most important influence.

Just watched 'Beyond the Lighted Stage'...that was a great documentary, with some wonderful personal insights to their history. (Could do without Jack Black and a few other wankers, though.)

Made me look up this thread, but bummed to see most of the links posted here (esp. bluering's) have been axed by YouTube. Anybody got a workaround?
