A bunch of folks went skiing and had a party. Bit of a memorial too:

Backcountry skiing is clothing-optional, and all chaps are assless. These are just simple facts.

Looks fun, but not exactly my idea of backcountry solitude.

I'll say one thing, that 9 yr old knows how to keep her upper body facing down the fall line, she's got it figured out.

When I was an instructor back in the Jurassic, I always preferred teaching 9 yr olds to adults. Adults you have to explain the physics of it to, kids you just say, "watch me, do this!" and they're off and running.

Virginia Lakes>Dunderberg>Kavanaugh Ridge>Green Creek Chute

It's a sweet car shuttle, as you get about 5000' high-quality down for only ~ 3500' up. Give or take. The Green Creek Chute alone is ~ 3200' of pure excellence.

Annual event, but this year was a bit different. Mostly Tahoe folks, sizable East Side contingent as well.

Looks like a typical day summiting on Mt. Hood.

2013 version. Smaller crew this year, maybe 40 skiers?

Nobody hucked the little ramp in your photo captioned 'Winter Snow!'?

Looks like a mellow Light Towers line...
