I actually find raising children to be a calming, relaxing experience;.....tranquil and peaceful, quiet, and introspective...

It hasn't always been an easy take;..being a parent. I've made a few mistakes along the way, of course;...we all have. Like the time I got Beck "Texas Chain Saw Murders" DVD for his birthday.....

Should parents choose or control who their kids see and hang out with....or should we let our kids pick their own friends....even if they seem a bit strange to us.....

Todd, it's okay. Your kids may grow up to be weird gay transvestite perverts, but they'll probably settle down with their weird gay tranvestite partners, adopt some kids, and you can be a normal grandpa.
So don't worry. Everything will work out.

Bottom line;.,.....our kids are mega-awesome..........we love them just the way they are.....and always will;..I'm sure of it. We are truly blessed and most fortunate......it's obvious aint' it....

No idea how I got to this thread, but I'll bite. Good thread Todd. Agreed, and I'll take your bait and go the parental route though this thread is a few years old. My philosophy was always "Educate, and expose your kids to EVERYTHING you can, then let them make their choices". . . and yesterday, with her (not so little) boy at 1 month!
