Looks like the last climbing picture might be Big Chief in Tahoe?
Yeah, looks like Totally Chawsome at Big Chief.
I remember him as such a positive presence here and was bummed when I heard of his passing. People in cars need to look out for bicyclists. The cars win every time and somebody's loved on is gone.

^^^^^^so true. As the Mom of a son close in age I often think of her and the deep emptiness she must feel. Whenever I see a bike messenger cruising around Santa Cruz I always think of Zach. What a hole in all our hearts.

Just thinking of Zach today, his Mom and family. It's been a lovely few days around Santa Cruz and I think of how this young man should be bikin' around and planning his next climbing adventures with his buds. It hurts ... really hurts.
