He's always angry.

He has a legitimate case for one missed call late in that game, a tripping penalty on Andrew Shaw. However, you live by the sword and die by the sword and since Andrew Shaw is a known embellisher - he didn't get the call. So sad....I'll cry a tear later.

Refs missed a few calls against the Blues also.

Last night turned out exactly as I'd hoped. Game Sevens are the best! Here's hoping the Caps can force seven tonight.

Blues v. Pens in the final?

Playoff hockey, anything can happen. My bracket predictions were almost perfect last year, but this season got obliterated after the first round.

Hockey.

Fleury has been standing on his head, eh?

I would enjoy seeing Wayne's old team win it all.

Go Pens! Didn't like Crosby when he first came up but he's proved himself.

Now that a couple of days have gone by I'm still pissed at the early whistle - no goal call against Nashville. How does that happen in game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals!?

A tainted victory for sure. Not by the Penns, but by the ref.

Agree. I didn't have a dog in the fight, but that was terrible.

Time for the NHL to wake up and completely BAN FIGHTING in hockey.

‘I Have No Idea How to Tell This Horror Story’

NOV. 21, 2017

John Branch, a sports reporter at The New York Times, has been in sporadic contact via text messaging and email with Walter Peat since writing about him and his son Stephen, a former N.H.L. player.

At the time of the article, in June 2016, Stephen Peat was 36 and experiencing debilitating headaches and violent mood swings. Peat was primarily an enforcer, a player designated to drop his gloves and square off in fist-to-fist combat with an opponent. The Peats presumed that Stephen’s problems were rooted in brain trauma sustained on the ice in so many fights.

Walter Peat, the head saw filer at a lumber mill in a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia, gave The Times permission to publish the texts and emails he had sent John over the previous 18 months. Some have been trimmed for concision.

(Stephen disputes his father's accounts and said, “I am disappointed in my father since I once held him so high on a pedestal.”)

A lot of the time the fighting is stoopid but come playoff time it serves a purpose.
And for Buttman to say the fans don’t want to see it just tells me how out of touch he is,
the little limp-wristed twerp. If he ever played hockey it was with a broom and a whiffle ball.

Well, it's that time of year again. With Toronto-Boston running into each other in the first round and Winnipeg-Nashville looking likely in the second, there'll be some disappointed fans.

The Canadian Cup Drought Clock is at 24 years and Iiii don't know if this is the year, but you never know!
