Even after being put on a boat by the Brits so long ago, for the crime of being insufferable, the laughs keep coming.

I am honored to be insulted by drF, and I refuse to stoop to his level

I am just grateful that I do not have to endure the pain he seems to be suffering.

Anyone surprised that recordings came out showing that bill’s pal tucker is a sexist, homophobic, white nationalist?

Or, that he is now playing the victim card?

Norton, yer full of it. Homophobic tendencies fall all over the spectrum, and if you can't admit that, you really are full of it... same with those sexist folks, they come in all colors, religions, and Democrats alike...

Look at the anti-semitic disaster that the British Labour party is.
A number of Labour MPs have quit the party in disgust.

I stand by my earlier post

Despite all of the disproved narratives about the “white working class,” it has been repeatedly and conclusively shown that Donald Trump in fact won the White House because of racism and nativism.

so how does a dem or a former HRC voter (or a DNC aspirant nominee) address this today in the real political world Norton? not sure where you are heading here, but it seems like maybe the white working man's fear is starting to become somewhat more apparent to folks that maybe missed it previously...?

It is reported that 62,984,828 voted for trump

We find that Trump’s supporters voted for him mainly because they share his prejudices, not because they’re financially stressed

Good stuff, Norton.

An article from the objective, unbiased alternet.org, about a paper published in a sociology journal, ranked 64th among its sociology peers.

Having missed this thread first time(s) through, it's made for some good reading, and some interesting observations.

From Paul Martzen early on:

I listened to the Terry Gross interview with O'Reilly.
As usual, I am struck by what a dim witted blowhard he is, but the more I listened, I started feeling more sympathetic in a way, and for Terry also.

At first Terry seemed to ask, can someone that successful, really be that stupid. But Bill proves, over and over that he really is that stupid, not so much in his opinions, which are pretty common, but in the quality of his thinking, the types of mental leaps that he makes, the lack of logical connections, the projection of his own aggression onto everyone else. It felt like Terry had no idea what to do with Bill. She kept asking logical questions of a man who does not understand logic; who has his own odd logic. No wonder he felt threatened. He is like the dumb kid in class who has finally figured out that 5 plus 7 is fifteen and he is really getting angry that the "smart kids" keep snickering at him.

Bill is proof that confidence and bravado can carry you a long ways in the right circumstances. Terry kept asking about the discrepencies and contradictions in Bill's words and actions, but since he can't perceive what she is talking about, he just figures she is attacking him for no reason at all, or rather for evil reasons, just to be attacking him. So from Bill's stand point, if he feels attacked surely he has the right to defend himself and retaliate. Like he talked about with his father. He got hit, so he hit back.

The fact that he is so popular and successful says something about our society, or maybe just about human nature.

Hmm, now who else does that sound like?
