Tonight I'm doing my {almost} annual Valentines dinner at an old folks home. Love sharing the love and the old timers love it. Expecting 50 for dinner. Total cost is about $100 for dinner plus donated desserts. Get out and spread the joy, folks. It's fun.

Everything about holidays is contrived. That they last one day only (generally). That they land on a particular day (generally). The rituals we do on that particular holiday.
So what?
Don't like the the standard holiday? Then make up your own. For instance, we celebrate Valentine's Day on our own date every year. I celebrate my birthday for more than one day each year. I completely ignore other holidays. We're grown-ups so we get to do what ever we want. :) So do what you want, but it is my wish that it involves smiles and love and happiness every single day.

Miss Lynne, that is exactly why i Love sending Valentines to people.....The surprise,.... and wanting people to know > i appreciate them and was thinking about them..............I feel like a little kid when i send them out to friends and Loved ones...wanted to mail more, but ran out of stamps, cards, and time.
