The Cerro Torre controversy has drawn the estimable Gregory Crouch to the ST campfire.

A hearty SuperTaco welcome to you Greg!

Author of the outstanding Enduring Patagonia, Greg is a climber's climber and original school, all the way.

I hope that you will share some tales and images from your many adventures and give us a taste of the fun!

Welcome!

Greg, Welcome to the climbing world's version of reality TV. This place is like the love child of "Oprah" and "The Gerry Springer Show". Actually I've never watched either of those shows so I'm not sure that is the right analogy. Maybe "from the sublime to the ridiculous" describes it.
Whatever, it's addicting and fun...

The image of attaching a rappel device to a rope in high winds with a climber already hanging off is forever etched in my minds eye. Some wind!

Here's a taste of Greg and Jim From Climbing August 1997.

This could be my favorite shot of Jim!
